Chapter 23: 'Natasha?!'

Y/n's POV

This morning was a little bit weird, not in a really bad way, it just felt weird waking up in a different room, and not going to the kitchen to see Steve burning something and Nat taking over, it's different living without all of the Avengers but it's only for a few months so it'll be alright. And as long as Peter is here I'm perfectly fine. Tomorrow is Monday so we're going back to school, it's gonna be great to see Mj and Ned, again after seven long months.

Wanda made breakfast, and we all ate and talked about when Steve puts back the stones and the rebuilding of the Compound. Peter stays here for most of the day, he's still really worried about me and wants to make sure I'm okay. But at about four pm he goes back to his apartment, just upstairs. 

I decided to finish unpacking my room, I came across a necklace that Nat gave me on my sixteenth birthday, almost a year ago. I become sad looking at it, and thinking about how much I still miss her, but it was the only way to get the stone. I take a shower to get my mind off of it, the peppermint shampoo calms me a little. When I get out I brush through the wet tangles and get on pajamas. Pietro is with Bucky right now, they're just hanging out and catching up, (over the time that we've lived with the Avengers Pietro and Bucky became close friends) so Wanda and I watch chick flicks and did face masks and our nails while I fill her in on everything that's happened while she was dusted.

I get to bed at nine so that I'm not super tired at school tomorrow.

When I wake up I see sun beaming in through my window, it's a  warm, sunny, March day. I get up and get ready.

I just feel the need to say: I am NOT vsco, I just think this outfit is cute

I got some water and then Peter and I got on the bus to school. When we got there it was so bitter-sweet. I finally got to see Mj and Ned after all this time, when we all met up Peter and Ned did there cute complicated handshake and hugged. I went up to Mj and hugged her, a tear rolled down my cheek as we embraced each other for the first time in months.

"Hey, how are you?" Mj asked

"I'm good, way better than a few days ago...I missed you so much" I said hugging her again. Then Ned and I hugged, we all talked for a few minutes, then Mj ran toward someone, but I couldn't make out just who it was. But when I saw her jump into his arms, wrap her legs around him, and them starting to kiss, I knew it was Jason. Jason survived the blip, we became sorta close during the time everyone was gone because he was the only person I really knew that didn't blip, so we ate lunch together everyday, it was so sweet seeing them reunite again.

Through out the school day everything really started to feel back to normal, with everyone back, having my friends back. It's great. I told Mj about everything that happened, like what happened on Vormir with Nat, that I unlocked a new power, that I saved Tony, and that I almost died. She seemed so shocked and intrigued at the same time. I missed her so much.

Today Steve put back all of the stones at the exact moment they were taken, Bruce called Wanda and told us to come to Tony's lake house now, all of the Avengers are meeting up there because apparently something amazing happened and we all have to see it. Pietro, Wanda, Peter and I all got there like three hours later, and everyone was here.

"What is it? What's so big that we had to drive three hours see?" Wanda asked

"Something totally unexpected happened when I was putting back the stones, come inside" Steve said

We all walk inside to see Nat sitting with Tony on the couch.

"Natasha?!" I said in disbelief. I ran over to her and hugged her "How the hell are you here?"

We are all so confused right now it's crazy. We're all talking over each other and have no idea what happened, when Steve finally said something.

"Everybody please be quiet" He said loudly, we all shut up. "As we all discovered, in order to get the soul stone you must lose someone you love. A soul for a soul. When I put back the soul stone, I woke up in a pool of water, and Natasha was right behind me. I guess it's a soul for a soul no matter what or who's soul it is"

"This is amazing! I cant believe it" I said and hugged Nat again "You got all of the stones back to they're places right?" I ask Steve

"Yup. All six of them" He said. We tell Nat everything that happened during the final battle with Thanos and his army. We all hung out for a while. Then we went home. Since Nat kinda just showed up out of no where, totally unexpectedly she didn't have anywhere to stay, so Tony booked her a hotel for a few nights while he finds her an apartment for the few months that they're rebuilding the compound.

When we got back to our apartment I was so happy that Nat's back. I feel so much better, now nothing is bad anymore. Thanos is gone for good, I have Peter, Wanda, Nat, and my friends Back, and I'm not dead. Everything's prefect.

Right now I'm doing homework while on facetime with Mj. I told her about how Nat's back, and she's super happy too. After that I went up to Peter's apartment and we hung out and watched Outer Banks while cuddling. I fell asleep in his arms as he stroked my hair which is the most simple but comforting thing that he always does. I was so comfortable, and happy, and calm, for the first time in a while everything was perfect. Nobody was dead, I was in Peters arms again, and I've missed the feeling of his arms wrapped around me, keeping me safe and warm all night long. After the whole world had caved in all around me, everything's all good again.
