Y/n's POV

~At school~

I was walking down the halls in school when Mj came running toward me out of breath, and she looked like she desperately needed to tell me something.

"Y/n! Hey..." She said and took a second to catch her breath after running in the hallways.

"Hey, what's up?" I sad very confused

"Okay, so you know our science class? With Mr. H? Well, our class and Mr. Dell's class are going to go on a field trip to different countries around Europe! All you have to do is get a legal guardian to sign the permission slip" Mj said

"What?! That would be awesome, all of us in Europe together! Where are the permission slips at?"

"Here, I already got you one. Do you think your siblings will let you go?"

"Of course, they will, why wouldn't they? But this will be awesome! do Peter, Ned, and Jason know yet?"

"I don't know, we'll ask them at lunch"

"Yeah, of course. Do you think you could get your parents to let you go?"

"I'm sure they'll let me, my dad might take some coaxing but my mom will for sure say yes"

"Cool, how long is the trip?"

"The first three weeks of summer"

"Nice"

------------

At lunch

We're all sitting at our table and hanging out.

"So, did you guys hear about the science class trip to Europe this summer?" Mj asked the boys

"Yes! it's gonna be awesome!" Jason said

"Yeah, I'm gonna ask my parents to sign the permission slip tonight!" Ned says

"Uhh, yeah I heard about it...I-I don't think I can go though" Peter says

"What? Why not?" I ask him

"My aunt probably...wont let me"

"Of course she will, why wouldn't she?" Ned asked

"I-I don't know...I have to turn in a library book, see you guys later" He said and left

"What was that all about?" Mj asked

"I don't know" I said. For the rest of the day Peter was kind of quiet, and distant, and none of us knew why. I thought he would want to go on the trip, and I know he was lying when he said that May wouldn't let him go, I can always tell when he's lying, he always looks guilty as he does. After school he was about to walk to the city bus, but I caught him just in time.

"Hey, Peter. What's up, what happened earlier?" I said

"What? Nothing, I don't know what youre talking about" He said, lying again

"You don't know what I'm talking about? Earlier at lunch when we brought up the field trip to Europe you made up a bad lie and left, and now youre about to go home without saying bye. What's wrong? Why don't you want to go on the trip?"

"*sigh* It's stupid" He said and tried to walk away again, but I grabbed his wrist

"Peter...you know you can tell me anything, whatever it is it's not stupid, please tell me" I said looking into his eyes filled with guilt because he lied to me.
