"I'm not the only one who's changed, am I?"

I turned my gaze from the decapitated head of a girl in my hands. "What makes you say that?"

He gestured to my prize. "Normally, you would've screamed if you saw that. Now it's your trophy."

I eyed the item before holding it to my chest and rising to my feet. "Like my head? You can have it." I waved the thing in Kacchan's face. He scrunched his nose at the smell and backed away. "Ew. Get that thing away from me!"

I threw the head back and grabbed his hand. "We should head back. It's getting early."

"You know I'm never gonna get used to you saying that," he grumbled. "Oh, I know," I smirked. "Now, ready to fly?"

Before he could answer question me, my wings were already spawned and I grabbed his shoulders and flew.

"Holy- What the hell?" He yelped, clinging to my arms. I laughed. "Scared of heights?"

"Of course not, just give me a warning next time!"

I nodded, though I might as well have been crossing my fingers. This was all too funny to not do again.

I brought him to the tower I was at the previous night. "Look at that," he gasped at the town. I smiled. "Nice, ain't it? You can see the entire area from here!"

His wide grin fell when he was a building, bathed in light. I followed his gaze to a grey, 3-story mall. "Is that where..?" I trailed. He nodded.

Where have I seen that place before?

I extinguished the lights, startling Kacchan. He whistled low. "Cool- I mean not bad." He crossed his arms.

Back at base

I stifled a yawn.

Kacchan looked at me, amused. "Fucked up sleep schedule?"

I nodded. "It doesn't help that using my quirk too much makes me a little
sleepy," I added. Honestly I wasn't that tired, but I needed to think a little about something.

He opened the door to his room, but I grabbed his arm before he could enter. "Remember," I said, "if you ever need to talk about anything- your parents, being a villain, anything - just knock, alright?" He smiles a little and nodded. "Alright." He went into his room.

I entered mine and shut the door before plopping onto my bed. I couldn't stop thinking about when I'd pushed him into the cover of darkness under me, his strong body against mine, the way he knew that I had a plan and didn't try to fight, his warm skin-

Oh my god. Do I...

I shook my head. No, it can't be. I know I'm not exactly straight. I was just being my gay little self, that's all. He is a 'he', but we're just friends.

I screamed into my pillow. Get some sleep!

I laid in bed for a few minutes trying to do just that, and it was going well until there was a knock on the door. Unwillingly, I got up, wishing I had a peephole so I could tell someone to fuck off before opening the door and getting my ass chewed out by the old man.

I opened the door. "This better be important, or else I'm gonna-"

But I didn't get to finish my threat because Kacchan's tearful face was all that I saw.
