The Commandments

Here in the Darkness, we don't have many rules. We're a group of cold-blooded criminals, after all. We can't do our 'jobs' if we set too many boundaries. But even murderers need limitations, and so we made the Commandments. The Commandments are the following easy-to-follow laws:

1st Commandment - Never kill or apply fatal injuries to another member of the Darkness

2nd Commandment - Never give into lustful desires with a victim in a form such as rape

3rd Commandment - If two or more members have bad blood towards each other, the dispute can be settled with a brawl. NO weapons and/or quirk usage are allowed, only fists. Bystanders may only intervene if Weapons or quirks are used

4th Commandment - Never target someone on the List

Breaking even one of those rules can be a death sentence. The List, by the way, is a list of people we aren't allowed to kill. Some of us down here have family or friends up above, so their names are most likely on the List. I put my biological mother's name up there; Inko Midoriya. My bio-dad's been missing for years, so I didn't put him there. His name is Hitoshi Midoriya, and he worked postal abroad until his ship sank with him in it. I doubt he's alive but if he is, I still wouldn't keep him up there. My mother used to speak of him as if he were dangerous to be around.

I couldn't stop pacing back and forth the span of my room

Father went to the LOV (League of Villains) HQ to 'connect ties' with them. Even though Kacchan and I were the ones to talk them into it, we can't make it official because we don't call the shots. I'm in charge for the night, and that's what got me nervous. Sure, I'm gonna be the chief sometime in the future, so I should get used to it. But this is my first time, and I don't fell like fucking this up.

Kacchan, who has been watching me from the corner for the last 10 minutes, sighed and grabbed my arm. I stopped in my tracks and stared at him, puzzled. He dragged me to the bed and made me sit down, never once meeting my gaze. "You're a dumbass. Digging a line through the floor won't help anything. It's only for the night, and I doubt anything major will happen in the time before your old man gets back."

I glared daggers into him. "Doubting doesn't make something not happen. I doubted I would see your pomeranian hair style ever again, and here we are."

He still wouldn't looked at me, and I was starting to get agitated. He's been acting weird for awhile. I'd had enough. "Alright, your my friend and I will always respect you... But what the hell is your issue, man?"

"Deku, are you gay?"

I blinked a few times. What?

"Uh, yeah. Why?" He rubbed his forearm nervously. I laughed. "What, you got a little crush on me or something?"

I had only meant to joke. Nothing more, nothing less. So you can probably understand my surprise when he nodded.

I didn't know what to say or do. I wanted to know what was wrong, but... I had to stop my hand from shaking. Not again. I don't, I don't like him like that. I can't... I'd already lost Denki. I didn't want to loose anyone else. I remember that feeling when he died in my arms. Agonizing, then empty. I didn't think about him anymore, though I never forgot that I swore to never fall in love again. So I can't love Kacchan...

I knew I was lying to myself.

Kacchan's hand was on the bed so I placed mine over it. He looked at me, his face flushed. I had to admit, he looked so adorable, so innocent. I brought my free hand up to his cheek to fell it's warmth. I leaned in until our faces were inches apart. My eyes closed, and-

-and Mei-Lin barged through the door, panting.

Kacchan and I jumped apart in a panic. Her eyes darted between us. "Sorry to interupt, but I have something to say. About Edward Patterson."

I groaned. Edward Patterson was the delinquent of the group. He's never done anything major but he could be a pain in the ass sometimes. "Who'd he piss of this time?"

Mei-Lin shook her head. "Worse. He broke the 4th Commandment. Edward Patterson killed Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugou."

Asuka-Chan here!

I just looked and aparantly I have over 1,000 reads on this book. I didn't start writing this book for a DekuBaku book, but that's how it's going. Is that bad, though?
