Shoto sent a blaze of fire Kacchan's way. He dodged it with ease. It was clear that this 'Hero' didn't use his left side all that often.

I charged at him, drawing up a large bloom of shadows. He saw me and sent more flames. Like his last attack, it was easily maneuvered around, but it was too bright for my shadows to handle.

I cursed under my breath. We need to get this guy's guard down. But how?

My partner ran towards my enemy, danger in his eyes. I did the same. Shoto looked at both of us and tried to jump out of the way.

I grabbed the darkness off of a nearby building and flung it at him. It caught him around his throat.

I didn't want to show this bastard any mercy. I flung him around like a rag doll, making sure he hit everything in sight. His cries of pain echoed in the night. I knew that we had to get this over with soon before backup arrived.

He made enough flame on his neck to dissipate my dark and broke free. He fell to the floor with a thud. He coughed up a little blood and sent ice my way. I couldn't stop this attack because I was focused on bringing my shadows to grab him again.

One of the cold spikes got me right in the chest.

I coughed up more blood than healthy as it trickled down the deadly weapon. I used my strength to break the ice.

Kacchan growled in anger and shot off explosion after explosions to Shoto. My shadows caught him around the head and I snapped his neck.

Kacchan checked to make sure the deed was done and then ran to me. "Yukiaku!" he panicked. I gasped and held my hands up. "I'm... I'm fine." I used the darkness around me to cover my throbbing wound. It at least stopped the bleeding for a little while, but I needed proper treatment.

I took a minute to catch my breath. "I sure hope these Villains are worth all this trouble," I grumbled. Kacchan helped me up and nodded his agreement.

I was able to stand on my own but I was getting kinda nauseated. My vision slightly blurred. Guess the wound is too bad for my body to handle. I wobbled and almost fell, but Kacchan supported me by draping my right arm over hit shoulder. I gasped slightly and winced.

"Dammit, there's someone else here."

But the energy... my shadows pass through it like it's nothing. Is it just an illusion?

The... thing emerged from the darkness. Indeed, it looked like my doing. I couldn't even tell the gender of this misty being. It wore a strange metal neck piece round its neck. The green vest and white long-sleeve shirt made it look formal. "I'm not hostile," it said, raising what I guessed to be hands in surrender. Male. Too deep to be any female.

"Good to know," I muttered sarcastically. If he was gonna attack us, he probably would've done it while I was coughing up blood on the floor.

The stranger shoved the dead Hero with his foot. His yellow eyes narrowed in disgust. "I've never been one to kill, but the others revel in it," he admitted.

"Others?" Kacchan interjected.

The man started slightly. "Oh, where are my manners?" He bowed.

"My name is Kurogiri, and I work for the League of Villains."

I smirked. "Oh? Well, our boss actually wanted to talk to you guys. We're on a 'diplomacy' mission, if you will.

And then he vanished.

I sighed. "Did I fuck up?"

"Yep. You fucked up."

"Thanks for the reassuring pep talk, Kacchan."

"You're welcome."

Suddenly, the ground gave way beneath us. I tried to yell out a warning to move out of the way, but I was too slow. We floated trough mist.
