Chapter Twenty-Two.

*One Year Later*

I used to see the world in a beautiful way. Now, I'm trying. The last 12 months have been unexplainable. First 9 months I was alone and depressed. I cut myself, attempted suicide and pushed everyone away. Cam tried really hard, for us. But, he couldn't ever love me, no matter how hard he tried. Finally, after 9 disgusting, cruel, depressing months, Addison and Nash urged me to get help. I started seeing a therapist and soon got prescribed medication. At 10 months, I said goodbye to my depression and got a part time job working as a secretary in a law firm. I moved into a gorgeous apartment. I'm a year ahead in my classes and set to graduate this June. I've just started dating Jack Johnson, Jack's childhood best friend. I know, that sounds disgusting, like how could she date her dead ex boyfriends best friend? Well, it wasn't like that, at all. When we were dividing Jack's things up his mother called up Jack J to give him some things and well, we exchanged numbers and during the 11th month he called me up said that he was in town. So, we went for dinner and... Clicked. He's going into the music business, pretty well so far. He's making a big impact rapping. Biggest plot twist, with his two best friends, Nate Maloley and Sammy! They reconnected! All of them are becoming so big... It's insane. They all live here, Jack just moved here. Best part, they live in the same apartment building as me. Right now it's the end of February and snowing outside like there's no tomorrow. I was finishing up an essay and laying on my couch drinking hot cocoa when there was a brief knock at my door before it swung open.

"Party in apartment 211!" Nate yelled walking in and sitting next to me. Sammy smiled and laid across Nate and I.

"Turn up!" He yelled and I started laughing. I fell Jack kiss my cheek and then he jumped over the couch and sat net to me, on top of Sammy. 

"Yeah, turn up off my girlfriend," Jack said winking at me. I blushed and kissed him before pushing Sammy and Nate off me.

"Should I call Addison and Nash?" I yelled from the kitchen as I put my mug in the sink.

"Yeah! And call Cam!" Nate yelled back. Yeah, about that, Cam is sort of friends with Nate and Jack. Sammy, hates him and so does Addison. Why? Well, Sammy because I dated Cam and Addison, cause he 'broke my heart' which he didn't but, no matter what I said she wouldn't buy it. I mean, heartbroken? By Cameron? If anyone broke my heart it wouldn't be Cam... 

"Sure, I'll call them," I yelled shakily. I really hated seeing Cameron, I just want to leave that stuff behind me. Keep it far, far away from me. But, seeing Cameron just reminded me every time I looked into his brown eyes. It's such a big reason I had to leave him, his face became less of a heaven and more of a hell. I texted Addison, Nash and Cameron in a group chat.

'Hey y'all, I'm here with JJ, Sammy and Nate. They claim we're gonna have a 'turn up' so I was ordered to round the troops. Let's go, my place now'

I put my phone down and then ran into the living room and curled up in JJ's arms. I cuddled into him as he pulled me in tight and kissed my forehead. I was tiny compared to him, he was nearly six feet tall and I was only just over five feet. I really cared for JJ, more than anything. But, there was something stopping me. What was it? Cameron? Sammy? No, there's no way. Maybe it was someone else...

"You're really cute, did you know that?" JJ whispered in my ear. I smiled and hid my face in his chest.

"Stop it, JJ, you're making me blush," I muffled. He chuckled and kissed my face all over.

"Do you know how lucky I am to call you mine?" He whispered as I kissed him. "Because I'm soooo lucky," He said winking at me. I smiled and cuddled into him. I was really lucky to have JJ, I really, really am. I don't know if I love him, but, I know I will. I just laid in his arms until I hear a knock on the door. Sammy and Nate were having a joke rap battle and then Sammy jumped up and ran to the door. 

"Yoooo brother-" Sammy cut himself off when he saw who was at the door. "Oh, hi, Cameron," Sammy said rolling his eyes and walking away from the door.

"Hey," Cam said quietly as he closed the door and sat next to JJ and I. He looked at me and nodded. I gave a small smile in return and turned my attention back to JJ. Suddenly, the door flew open and standing there was Addison and Nash.

"What's up my people!" Nash shouted as he 'bro hugged' the guys and kissed my cheek hello. 

"Hi, y'all," I said as Addison sat next to me and went on her phone. She seemed to be in a bad mood, her and Nash had been fighting a lot and it's been putting the both of them in bad moods. 

"Hey," Addison said with an obviously forced smiled. I tried to smile but couldn't force it, what was up with them?
