Chapter 3 – The meeting
MIRAE'S POV
I got out of the house after an hour of choosing my clothes, getting a quick shower and applied light make up. I was late, really late. I hope Chanyeol wouldn't mind. He will forgive me, right?
"Mom, what if he doesn't like me?" I asked as I bit my lips.
She laughed. "Silly girl, I'm sure he'll like you."
I pouted. "But we haven't even met once! I'm scared he'll not agree on this marriage, or even be friends with me!" I groaned.
Mom laughed again before looking out of the window, leaving me alone in my own little world.
"Madam, Young miss, we're here." Uncle Leo said.
"Thank you, Leo. Come back around 2 hours later." Mom smiled before getting down the car.
I took a deep breath before getting out too. "Honey, are you just going to stand there and not move a single muscle? You know that you're late by an hour and thirty minutes, right?" She raised an eyebrow as I quickly ran towards her and walked into the hotel.
"Welcome, Mrs. Kim and Miss Kim, this way." One of the staffs brought us to the private room.
There is it. The room that decides my fate with Chanyeol. Another step and I'm going to meet the one I'm always curious about, the one I had have a crush on for long, leaving my Taemin-oppa aside.
"Honey, relax." Mom smiled and tapped on my shoulder before walking into the room. I walked into the room after her.
Opposite me, there sitting my idol my fiancé, Park Chanyeol.
"I'm sorry we're late," I bowed.
"Tsk."
I was shocked. Who did that? I got back up and see that Chanyeol-oppa was clearly unhappy and totally had a black face on.
"I thought she'll be pretty like her," Chanyeol said.
"Chanyeol! What are you talking about?" Mrs. Park hissed while Chanyeol just laughed.
"I said, she's not that pretty as I expected." He smirked.
My heart broke. Is this Chanyeol? The one who's always happy on stage? The one who always brings happiness to others? Why does this Chanyeol in front of me look so cold, emotionless and most importantly, a 360 degrees change?
"Don't look at me like this." He said as he got up, fixing his shirt. "I'm going now, Mom. I've to get back to the company and I'm already late, thanks to someone." He stared at me before walking away, purposely banging onto my shoulder.
I gasped as one of the staffs grab hold of me. "Thanks," I muttered as I sat down on the chair.
"I'm sorry for the behavior of my son, he isn't feeling well today." Mrs. Park apologized as I smiled.
"It's okay, I'm fine. You don't have to apologise, I understand."
I had a feeling that Chanyeol oppa and I will not get a long easily, especially when he is so cold towards me.
I fake a smile as we continue the meal.
I had to find a time to sit down and talk to him about this matter.
CHANYEOL'S POV
What is this girl taking so long? Who does she think she is? A princess? Why do I, Park Chanyeol have to wait for her? Shouldn't she be the one waiting for me? Most probably she's a brat, unlike Yoonhee. Yoonhee's perfect. I wonder how beautiful that girl is. Will she be as beautiful as Yoonhee? Or will she be more beautiful than her?
I sighed. "Mom, how long more do we have to wait?" I asked.
"Patience, Chanyeol. A lady will have to take a lot of time when it comes to dolling herself up, especially on this occasions." Omma responded as I frowned. But I've to get back to the company by 3p.m, and it's already 2.45p.m!
I'll wait. At least for another 5 minutes. If she's pretty, I'll forgive her. If she's not, then let's forget about this. Just 5 minutes.
"I'm sorry, we're late!" A girl who is in a cute little dress, with long mermaid curls, looking so beautifully bowed. I gulped. She's beautiful. She's perfect, she's more than perfect. She's prettier than Yoonhee. The first girl who I actually feel that she's prettier than Yoonhee.
Oh god, Chanyeol. Grab hold of yourself! You can't just break this ice mask because of a girl who's prettier than Yoonhee! What's more, her voice... That pair of voice that sounds the same as Yoonhee!
Ermahgawd, why am I seeing stars.
Wait, what the hell am I thinking about?
I sat up right and 'tsk' on purpose. She got up and looked at me, while I stared back coldly.
"I thought she'll be pretty like her," No, she's prettier than Yoonhee.
"Chanyeol! What are you talking about?" Mom scolded as I laughed.
"I said she's not that pretty as I expected." I smirked when I caught her looking at me again.
"Don't look at me like this." I said as I got up and brushed the invincible dusts on my shirt. "I'm going now, Mom. I've to get back to the company and I'm already late, thanks to someone." I stared at her and walk towards the door.
I purposely brushed my shoulder with hers. God darn it, she smells so nice, nicer than how Yoonhee would smell like. Holy moly, she's better than Yoonhee I must say.
No, Chanyeol, what the hell are you thinking about? You took time to create this image; you can't just let a girl break everything! You can't just let someone who you met for few minutes make you turn back into the 16 year-old Chanyeol!
I slapped myself lightly as I walked into my car and drove off to S.M.
Whatever it is, I can't fall in love with her, no matter how similar Yoonhee and she are.
