Chapter 9 - So much to take in

"What?! He actually agreed to go on a dinner date with you?!" Jae shouted at Mirae once she broke the news to her.

Mirae shook her head and headed for the fridge. "It's not a date; it's just a friendly dinner, that's all, Jae. Where are you heading to?" Mirae laughed as Jae snorted.

"Please, a man and a woman can NEVER be friends. And cut it out, I know you're interested in him ever since your uncle told you about this group debuting." She said before snatching the apple on Mirae's hand.

"And that means both Sehun and you can NEVER be friends either. Yeah, I'm always interested in him but not in that way. He's just... well, interesting."

Jae shook her head and said, "Whatever, you can deny it right now." Mirae laughed and Jae sighed.

"But the both of you actually make a cute couple, why did he actually object the marriage?"

Mirae shrugged.

"I'm not him, I don't know. He probably got ditched by his ex-girlfriend, who knows?"

Jae nodded. "Yeah, maybe. I could ask more about his past if you want."

Mirae shook her head. "If I want to find out about his past, then I'll ask him by myself." Mirae smiled and waved goodbye to Jae and retreated back to her room.

"Friendly dinner, yeah, friendly dinner." Mirae reminded herself before heading to her dreamland.

The next morning arrived quickly. Both Mirae and Chanyeol were nervous. This is the first time both of them had agreed to have a meal together without even having anyone to force them. And do you think Mirae would be the one getting up early to get dress? Nope, you're wrong; it's Chanyeol who is the one getting up extra early to select clothes and accessories for the 'friendly dinner' later that night.

"This is the first time," Chanyeol jumped up in shocked and punched the intruder on the arm.

"You scare me, Baek." He said, turning back to his wardrobe.

Baekhyun laughed at his bestfriend.

"Do you need help?" Baekhyun asked, half smirking as Chanyeol shook his head.

"A date with Mirae huh?" Baekhyun said and Chanyeol immediately turn red.

"What are you talking about? That's not a date, that's just a friendly dinner!" he half yelled, leaving Baekhyun laughing and exiting the room.

Chanyeol sighed before picking his clothes. "I think this will be ok." He mumbled and placed the clothes carefully on the rack.

"Yah! Wake up!" Jae entered Mirae's room while shouting at the same time.

Mirae just grabbed an extra pillow beside her and pressed it over her face. Jaehee shook her head before grabbing the pillow and pulled Mirae up from the bed.

"You've work!" She yelled as Mirae pouted.

"I'm tired!" She retorted. Jae just pulled her into the washroom and closed the door.

"Get ready in 30 minutes! No less or more, go go go!" She yelled and left the room. Mirae pouted again before getting ready.

"Let's go," Mirae said, entering Jae's room. Jae nodded and grabbed her bag and exited the room with Mirae.

"I'll go home later on by myself; you don't have to ask Uncle Leo to pick me up." Jae told Mirae who frowned.

"No, you're not getting home by yourself! It's too dangerous!" Mirae nagged.
