Chapter 4 - The deal between us

MIRAE'S POV

"Uncle, can I meet Chanyeol?" I asked my Uncle, the President of the company on the phone.

He chuckled. "Why do you want to speak to him, my precious niece? Is he your idol or something?" he asked while laughing at the same time.

"It's not like that, Uncle. I mean, yes he is my bias but no, not because of that. I've something else to talk to him." I said.

"Alright, why not you come down to S.M. and I'll put the both of you in a soundproof room so that the both of you could talk about whatever you want comfortably?"

I smiled. "Of cause! I'll be there in thirty minutes! Love you!" I hang the phone and ran into my walk-in wardrobe quickly with a big grin on my face.

"This time, I won't be late anymore!" I nodded before changing into a decent pair of clothes and asked Uncle Leo to send me to S.M.

"Can I help you?" The front desk assistant, who looked very pissed asked.

"I'm not a sasaeng fan if you're wondering. I'm here to meet my uncle," I said bluntly.

She looked even pissed than before which caused me to get pissed too. "Please use a better excuse the next time you come in here." She said as she took out a mirror to touch up her makeup.

I scoffed as I walked into the building. "Yah! You can't do that!" she yelled and chased after me. Luckily for her, she caught up with me and grabbed hold of my arm, shouting, "You can't do that! Leave now, or I'll call the security!"

I smirked. "Cool, do that and I'm very sure you'll definitely lose this job."

She looked scared. "Who's your uncle? I could give him a call and he'll bring you up from here."

I smirked again, knowing that I've won but no darn way am I going to let her off without complaining bits and pieces of her lousy attitude to Uncle. "Mr. Kim Young Min," I said word by word, making sure she heard me right and clear.

"The president?" she muttered as I nodded with a light smile.

"So can I go right now? I'm going to be late because of you." She let go of my arm and bowed to me.

"I'm sorry; could you please let me off?"

I smiled angelically. "Sure. I'll cut down on what I'm going to complain! Have fun! Oh and by the way, you should change your bb cream because I can see your flaws~" I shouted and skipped away.

I went up to his office, remember that he told me his office was allocated at the fifth storey but I couldn't recall where his office is. I got out from the lift and dialled for his number again. "Uncle, where's your office?" I pouted.

"Aigo, you couldn't remember where my office is? Alright, I'll come out now to pick you up then we'll head over to the room."

"Thank you," I hang up the phone and waited for him to pick me up.

"My niece! How have you been? Good?" Uncle asked as he hugged me.

"I'm doing fine, how about you? Do you have plans for EXO's comeback?" He shook his head.

"I'm going to make SHINee have a comeback before EXO's but don't worry, they'll comeback soon." He told me with a smile as we walk into a room.

"Wait here, he's coming."

Before he could walk out of the room, I asked; "Uncle! Where are you going? Are you going to leave me here with him alone?!"

He nodded with a smile.

"I'm not going to sit here and listen to the both of you talking about some stories that I don't even know what's going on. So yeah, toddles!" he left without turning back.

I plopped onto one of the chairs there and spin myself to the window. "President, I'm here." A low voice called out. That's it! That's Chanyeol-oppa! I gulped before turning back.

As soon as he sees me, he stiffens up before turning around and starting for the door.

"Wait!" I called out as he stopped walking. "I've something to discuss with you,"

"If it's about the wedding, then we've nothing to talk about." I pouted.

"Chanyeol-sshi, could you just please listen to me?"

He turned back, heading towards me with a cold stare. I gulped, what is he trying to do? He then headed for a chair and sat down, making himself comfortable.

"Talk then! I'm waiting!" he hollered.

I sat back down and took a deep breath before starting. "Okay look, this wedding was arranged and none of us knew this until I'm legal. And just like you, I don't want to get married to someone whom I don't have feelings for or when you just set up your career. Just like you, I want to get away from this marriage but you see, this is an agreement they'd made years back and there's nothing we could do, Chanyeol-sshi."

He stared hard at me which made me feel very uncomfortable. "You don't understand, do you? I don't even want to get married with you! My career's even important than anything else! Yes, this is an agreement but the both of us can fight for our rights! As long as we find a way out, we don't have to get married!" he hissed.

I sighed. Is getting married with me a bad thing? "How about let's just try hanging out and I'll do everything to delay this wedding?" I said as I rubbed my temples.

He looked a bit relaxed. "I'm okay with delaying the wedding, but hanging out? You'll have to earn for that, it's not going to come on its own."

I smirked. "Bring it on than, Mr. Park." I winked as he flinched.

Are you calling for a war? If yes, then I'm all ready to win this battle.

CHANYEOL'S POV

I was very shocked when the president called for me. Did I do anything wrong? Or did he found out that I'd this absurd wedding arrangement that's waiting for me? Will he kick me out of the company just for this? I don't want to get kicked out just like that!

I've to find ways to defend myself, to save myself from all these burdens!

When I found out who's the one on the master chair, I was even shocked. What is she doing right here, in S.M.? Who is she related to? Remind me to check on her when I get back to the dorm.

She asked me to stay; there are important things to talk about. About what? About the marriage? I don't want to stay here any longer. The more she talks, the more nervous I feel. One moment she could make me hate her, the other she makes me feel all nervous inside.

Who is she? Why do I have a feeling that she's going to be someone important in my life? No, Park Chanyeol, no! You shouldn't do that, or even think about it!

I told her to earn for the chance of us hanging around. I lied. I wish she could be with me at all times. I wish I could just keep her with me. But no, I shouldn't trust her when I just met her for twice. She had this trustable feeling inside of her, but no way am I going to trust her for now. She's going to earn that trust on her own.

As she wink, my legs turn wobbly. I'm lucky that I'm sitting down, or else my butt will be on the carpet. I cleared my throat before turning to her, "I need to go right now. We'll talk on another day. Since you can come into S.M., I think it's easy for you to get my number. Bye."

I left without turning back, not even when she kept calling my name.

The way she calls for my name - you've no idea how much feels I got inside of me. She sounds exactly the same as Yoonhee. Like how Yoonhee would call for me when we just met.

But no, there's only one Yoonhee and forever will be. I've to grab hold of myself. I shouldn't let this girl into my heart this easily.

We'll see, Kim Mirae. If I see that you deserve a chance, being friends with you isn't that bad.

I smirked and walked off, still having the thought of Mirae in my mind.
