Chapter 14 – 'Is this the reality you want?!' part. 1

Chanyeol got out from his car, looking at the little shop in front of him that he used to love visiting and having meals with Yoonhee. He smiled. No matter what, he still misses the past. He walked into the shop, searching for Yoonhee but the store owner came greeting him first.

"Aren't you Chanyeol? Am I right? You're Park Chanyeol right?" The grandmother asked.

He nodded and smiled awkwardly. The grandmother grinned and checks on him.

"Looks like you've grown up pretty well huh?" She said, smiling from ear to ear.

Chanyeol nodded and blushed. "Grandma, how have you been?" He asked while rubbing his neck sheepishly.

"Aigo, not only you've grown up well, your voice deepens too! Remember those days when you don't sound like this and wasn't this tall? Haha, but it's okay, girls love guys who owns a deep and love voice. That's sexy." She laughed along with Chanyeol.

"Oh right. Yoonhee's already inside, the same place where you two always used to sit when you're dating. Did you two come back together as one again?"

Chanyeol shook his head. "Nope, we didn't. I have found someone else better; I'll bring her to meet you some other days, grandma."

She nodded with a smile. "I'll be happy to meet the one who is making you happy."

He nodded and excused himself.

"You're here." Yoonhee said, getting up from her chair.

"Don't touch me." Chanyeol stepped back, not allowing Yoonhee to hug him or even touch him.

Yoonhee sighed. "Can't we go back to 3 years ago?"

He snorted loudly.

"When you left me there on the streets of myeongdong and left with that bastard? No thanks." He said, shoving his hands into his jeans pockets.

Yoonhee smiled bitterly. "Sit." She said before making her way back to her chair.

Chanyeol sat down and look around the restaurant, anywhere but not into Yoonhee's eyes.

"What do you wanna eat? Tell noona, noona will buy them all for you." She told, eyes not leaving the menu. "How about kimchi stew? We used to have them in the mornings." She chuckled.

"Stop." Chanyeol said.

She looked up from the menu, raising an eyebrow. "What?" She asked.

"I said stop. Why are you doing this to me? Why did you leave with a guy then come back to me now? Don't you know how I felt back then? What do you treat me as? A toy that you play and when you get bored, you throw it aside and when you're bored of your new toys, you bring it back to play? Is that how you see me as? IS IT?" Chanyeol hissed, clenching his fists and staring right into Yoonhee's eyes.

Yoonhee sighed and rubbed her temples. "Things aren't this simple back then, Yeol-ah. I wished I could tell you, but I can't." She told, throwing her hands around and frowning.

"You could have told me if things weren't easy for you back then, as your boyfriend I could have given you the support you needed!" He argued.

She sighed. "It's not about support, Chanyeol-ah. It's about the money!" She shouted.

"The money that I needed urgently! Do you think if I were to tell you that my family needed money, you will give me the amount I want? Don't be silly, Chanyeol. You wouldn't do that; you wouldn't give a lady who had cheated on you once because she needs money!"

"You could have asked! If I have that much money you wanted, I will lend it to you or even give it to you! Why can't we talk things out back then? HUH? You just left me there on the streets when I even begged you not to leave, Lee Yoonhee. Don't you remember?!" He finally flared up, saying what he has always wanted to say.

"I hated you; I hated you for leaving me there and not explaining a single shit to me. I could have agreed on your freaking break up, but I didn't. I even begged you. Not every guy would put down his pride and ego to beg for a girl to stay by his side, but I did... Don't you fucking remember all the shits I had done for you?! Buying you tampons when you need it urgently, buying you ice-cream when you're upset or when you feel like it, bringing you to the amusement park because you said you wanted to go there for a date, buying you gifts unexpectedly because you love surprises.

I've had enough, Lee Yoonhee. We're never going to get back together, no matter how many lies or truths you're going to tell me right now. I hope I have made myself very clear. Leave my family, my members, my fiancée and I alone." He hissed dangerously and left.

Yoonhee laughed in disbelief. "Did he just reject me?" She laughed. "Not that easy, Park Chanyeol. I won't give up on what I want that easily. If I want it, then I must have it." She mumbled to herself.

Chanyeol went back to the S.M building and got welcomed with very shocking news.

"Boys, be prepared to go over to the U.S. All of you are required to be there at least for 3 years if your condition is good and you pick up fast, then you'll be back within a year or two. The company want and need all of you to be fluent in English and also to let all of you promote there while studying. So I need all of you to pack up, we're leaving tomorrow."

"WHAT?!" Chanyeol yelled, standing up.

"I know that Mirae's not in a good condition now but you'll have to leave too, Chanyeol. I can't take sides; you know the company wants the best for all of you." The manager consoled.

"No, I'm not leaving and that's final." Chanyeol said.

"Chanyeol! This is not something that we can decide on our own, do you understand? So get your ass there and study fast and go there as soon as possible to start promoting, after that you can come back home and do what you want. If Mirae's awake, she'll want you to go over to the U.S too!"

Chanyeol sighed. "I'll think about it." He said, standing up and left the room.

"I'll go talk to him." Baekhyun said and got up.

"I'll go too." Kris said and the members sighed.

"It will be harder for him since Mirae's in a coma now. If she doesn't wake up by this week, then she's as good as gone." Chen sighed.

"Hyung, couldn't we make a deal? Chanyeol hyung to come over to look for us next week after Mirae's condition stabilize?" Kai asked.

Manager hyung's having a headache. He wants the best for Chanyeol, and he also doesn't have the heart to pull Chanyeol away from Mirae when she's having her hard time right now.

"I'll talk to the management about this, but I can't guarantee you that Chanyeol could only come over after Mirae's condition stabilizes. I hope they'll allow, since she's the CEO's niece." He said.

The members cheered and thank manager hyung.

"Chanyeol-ah." Baekhyun called out. Chanyeol rolled his eyes and turned to Baekhyun.

"I'm not going, that's final. We're not going to talk about that."

"Yes we are. You have to go. Just like what manager had said, if Mirae's awake she would want you to go over too. You can't just leave us or your job when she's having her hard time. I know, as a boyfriend of hers you want to be there for her. But now, this is an order, Chanyeol. We can't just say no to the management and throw a tantrum about going over. Just treat this as an outfield trip. We'll go there fast, promote and study fast and then come home here. She'll understand, Chanyeol-ah. I'm sure Mirae wouldn't mind." Kris said, patting on Chanyeol's shoulder.

"What if she doesn't wake up anymore?" Chanyeol asked, tearing up.

Baekhyun walked over and hugged Chanyeol from the front.

"She will. We all know that she's a strong girl, so she'll wake up. She will fight for herself, for you."

Baekhyun and Kris gave a comforting smile. Chanyeol thought for a while and spoke up.

"I'll go over, only after this week." He said determinedly.
