Chapter 15 – 'Is this the reality you want?!' part. 2

"I'll see you in a weeks' time, Chanyeol-ah." Baekhyun patted on his shoulder while Chanyeol gave a smile as a response.

"Have fun there and when I come over to join you guys, remember to prepare a good meal for me." He grinned and Baekhyun laughed.

"Of cause we will do that! We'll be waiting for your good news, hyung. Don't let our efforts go down the drain!" Said Kai.

"Yeah, we didn't plead Mr. Kim for nothing." Chen said, walking pass them to look for Xiumin.

"All of us hope to hear good news from you, we'll see you in a weeks' time. Take good care of yourself and Mirae." Luhan chirped, giving Chanyeol the biggest and warmest smile he has.

With no words, Lay went over and gave Chanyeol a hug.

"No matter what, we'll always be there for you. Tell Mirae and Jae that we'll miss them." Lay smiled.

"Guys, it's time to go in." Manager told, Chanyeol smiled and told them not to worry about the things in Korea, he'll solved it and fly over to California a week later.

All of them exchanged hugs before walking in to the departure hall. Chanyeol stood there with a smile until the 12 backs can't be seen anymore, he turned back and headed for his other manager.

"Hyung, let's go to the hospital." Manager nodded and drove there.

"Jae, I'm here. You should go home and have a sleep, I'm sorry for coming in so late today." Chanyeol shook Jae's shoulders lightly.

She straightened up and squinted her eyes at Chanyeol before nodding slowly.

"Oppa, I'll come back tonight." She said, getting up from the chair.

"It's okay; you don't have to come over today. I'll be fine here alone for the whole day." He smiled, ruffling Jae's hair. Jae frowned.

"No, I will come by tonight. Bye oppa." She said and went off. Chanyeol chuckled while shaking his head before sitting down beside Mirae.

"Come on. Wake up now, you've slept more than enough. Huh?" He said, bringing Mirae's hand up to his cheek before kissing the back of her hand.

Suddenly, he felt her fingers moving. He opened his eyes and stared at her fingers, wishing that she really did move her fingers a few seconds ago. Later, her fingers moved again.

Chanyeol grinned and stood up, pressing the button beside Mirae for countless of times, shouting, "Doctor! Nurses! Hurry!"

Soon, the nurses and a doctor came in and rushed to the bed. The doctor approached Chanyeol with a smile.

"She'll wake up soon." Chanyeol laughed and thanked the Doctor.

He stared at Mirae and smiled. "I know you'll wake up soon." He chuckled.

"Hurry, don't sleep anymore, wake up. Oh right! The kids miss you too. I've to leave for California after a week, so you have to wake up and get well soon. So by then, you can send me off! And then, after a year, I'll be back and we can be together again! As in, seeing each other face to face." He smiled.

He stood up and texted Baekhyun, Mirae's parents and Jae, telling them that she'd moved her fingers and is about to wake up. Of cause, Mirae's parents hurried down to the hospital to visit their daughter even when they're really busy.

"Chanyeol-ah, I have heard about you going over to the U.S for studies and it isn't your choice. Is it true?" Mirae's mum glanced at Chanyeol with warming eyes, in concern.

He smiled weakly and nodded. "It's true. But I'll be back soon after I finish studying and promote with my members."

Mirae's mom nodded with a sad smile. "I promise we'll go there often with Mirae to visit all of you."

Mrs Kim told and Chanyeol shook his head right after. "You don't have to. After all, we wouldn't be staying there forever! We have leaves too, if I'm not wrong. We'll come back every time we can."

He smiled and Mrs Kim nodded reluctantly. "Alright. But if you have anything you want back here, do call back and let me know, I'll get it for you." He smiled and thanked her.

A week later passed by, Mirae still isn't awake. Chanyeol sighed and looked at her.

"Yah, wake up now. Don't you understand?" He hissed, feeling angry that Mirae isn't waking up. He felt that she's fooling him.

"Did you hear me?! Yah, Kim Mirae!" He shouted, getting up and shaking her shoulders. He sat down after he knew it's useless.

"Fine. Sleep as long as you want. But when I'm back, you better be healthy and kicking." He told, standing up from the chair.

"I'm going now. Promise me to wake up by this week. Okay?" He chuckled and kissed her on the forehead.

"Oppa, it's time." Jae interrupted, feeling sad that they'll have to part.

Chanyeol nodded with a smile, picking up his bag pack that he placed on the floor beside the bed, taking one last glance at Mirae before closing the ward's door.

"Chanyeol-ah, you don't have to worry much. If the hospital in Seoul isn't good, we'll send her out of Korea for better health care." Mr Kim said, patting on Chanyeol's shoulder.

Chanyeol smiled weakly, "Yeah." He muttered.

"Yeollie, it's time." Manager Hyung spoke.

He nodded and turned to Mr and Mrs Kim and Jae. He bowed, "Thank you for sending me off. I will see you after a few months' time." He smiled and Mrs. Kim nodded, going forward to hug him.

"Aigo. I know you're hurting now, silly boy. She'll wake up soon, but not now. Let her rest more. When she's awake, I'll send her there for a month with Jae."

Jae brightened up and beamed brightly. "Are you serious?!" She chuckled.

"Yes," Mrs. Kim promised.

"Alright, Maein. It's time for Chanyeol to go in; we don't want him to miss his flight." Mr Kim commented and Mrs Kim nodded before taking her last look at Chanyeol.

"Aigo, pretty boy. We'll see you soon." She smiled and Chanyeol nodded again.

"Yeah, goodbye Mr and Mrs Kim. And you too, Jae. Remember to take a rest and take care of your health." He went on and they pushed him to his manager. Chanyeol laughed and walked ahead to the departure hall with his manager.

'I'll see you soon.' Chanyeol thought. 'I love you, Kim Mirae. I always have and I always will.' He smiled, kissing the couple bracelet he'd bought for them.

He bowed for the last time and went off without looking back anymore, afraid that he might change his mind after he turned back.

After seeing Chanyeol's back disappearing from their sight, all three of them decided to go back to the hospital. Once they went back, they saw Mirae's already awake, sitting up and drinking a cup of water while talking to the doctor.

"Omo, Mirae ah!" Jae shouted once she saw her best friend.

Mirae eyed her weirdly.

"Do I know you?" Mirae said, feeling apologetic.

"Yah, you can't use this trick on me anymore." Jae looked at her with an irritated face, but Mirae looked confused.

"Are we very close?" She asked. Jae's jaw dropped.

"My daughter, Mirae. You're finally awake!" Mrs Kim hollered as she rushed to Mirae's side.

Mirae didn't reject Mrs Kim's hug and she returned the hug as well.

After Mrs Kim let her off, she asked, "Are you my mom?" All of them were taken aback, looking at the doctor for explanation.

"I'm sorry, but she'd lost her memories. All of them." The doctor answered.
