The next years passed both quickly and slowly.

Bastian taught Trix as much as he could. And Trix was happy to learn.

"Bastian, are you sure this is a good idea?"

Trix was standing atop a small point. Holding a bow and arrow pointed at an apple sitting on Bastian's head.

"Relax Princess. Use your wind magic and your senses." Bastion grinned, "And if you are to off course, I'll just dodge."

Trix deadpanned at the Panther. "That's comforting." She muttered softly.

Did she forget to mention she was blindfolded?

She took a deep breath. Focusing her hearing on Bastian's breathing. Once she located it. She drew her arrow. Creating an image of Bastian and the apple on his head.

She took another deep breath calling on her wind magic. Creating a barrier in front of Bastian in case she couldn't aim properly.

Then she leased her arrow.

She could hear it whizzing through the air. She focused on the point it was meant to be going.

Thunk.

She took off her blindfold.

Bastian was sitting smirking, his tail swishing behind him, the apple on his head still intact.

Her arrow was about a foot above his head.

"You panicked." He looked at her his green eyes glinting. "Again."

Trix sighed but replaced her blindfold.

------

Trix was once again blindfolded.

Why did Bastian like having her blindfolded?

She was sitting in the middle of the room.

She could hear Bastian prowling around the room.

"Why is the celebration of fire so important to Shadow-tamers?"

Trix took a deep breath,

"Fire is the element that Shadow-tamers used the most. Since it creates light, it's the strongest to use to keep the shadows away and under control. Or to tame them. The celebration of fire is a day where the Shadow-tamers pay thanks to the element. It happens about halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice."

The sounds of Bastian moving stopped.

Trix barely managed to move when she felt the air move. Bastian had lunged at her.

"What was wrong with that?!"

She yelled out as she dodged the big cat.

"The celebration of fire is not only paying thanks to the fire for its help. It is Celebrating the wild nature of the element and of all Shadow-tamers."

Bastian explained as he lunged at her again. This time he pinned her down.

"Again."

Trix groaned loudly but let Bastian lead her back to the center of the room.

"What does each Shadow-tamers secondary form mean?"

Trix groaned.

------

Trix was sitting high on one of the many balconies within the castle. Watching the stars vanish as the sun rose.

After the first night in the castle. Trix moved out of her parents room instead taking one on the higher levels. Liking the view. She loved her parents room, but just reminded her of what she had lost.
