Trix rode to the Shire atop her faithful friend Aasimar. The size of her horse did get a few looks as she rode into town.
She was happy to be back in her traveling clothes. The leather coat gave her an odd sense of familiarity. Sitting around her neck was a bright glowing vial, which shifted in color.
Trix had her hood down as she rode down the roads. She nodded her head at one hobbit.
"Excuse me sir?"
The hobbit looked up shocked, "Yes Miss?"
Trix smiled "Could you point me to Bilbo Baggins house?"
The Hobbit nodded and pointed, "It's over the hill. With the green door."
Trix smiled again, "Thank you very much." She touched her fingers to her forehead and bowed, then pushed her fingers away in a type of Salute.
The hobbit nodded unsurely and walked away.
"Come on Aasimar we're almost there."
Her horse huffed but lead her over the ridge. As she went over the Ridge Trix put her hood back up.
Trix easily spotted the house. It had around eight dwarves and Gandalf standing out front of it.
Trix smiled and lead Aasimar over to the house. Catching the attention of a few people. She dismounted Aasimar, taking the two saddle bags she had off and patted his flank. "Go wonder. I'll call in the morning."
Aasimar whinnied and gently nudged his huge head against her chest.
Trix chuckled and patted his head. Producing an apple from thin air. "There you big baby. Now go."
The horse took the apple and trotted away happily.
Trix turned and smiled to Gandalf. "hello Gandalf." She placed down the saddlebags and dropped a red vial on them. They quickly shrunk. Trix smiled to herself, picked them up, and dropped them in her pocket.
"Hello Trix. How was your journey?"
Trix smiled "Easy, I met a few orcs along the way. And a very foul tempered forest beast. But other than that. Perfect."
Gandalf chuckled.
The Dwarves hadn't noticed the shadow-tamer who was talking calmly to Gandalf.
Trix withheld a snort as the door opened and all eight dwarves fell forward. Revealing a very confused looking Hobbit. Who Trix guessed was Bilbo Baggins.
He looked at Gandalf and her hooded figure confused. "Gandalf."
The dwarves introduced themselves and then made themselves comfortable in Bilbo's home. Trix had a few more manners than they did. She waited.
"Evening Master Baggins. May I come in?"
Bilbo looked at here confused. "Yes, you may as well. I'm Bilbo Baggins what is your name."
Trix smiled as she stepped over the thresh hold of the house. She lifted her head so Bilbo could see her face slightly, "I am Trix Grimm." She bowed her head "You have a wonderful home Master Baggins. I'm sorry about coming to your home uninvited." Trix glared discreetly at Gandalf, "I was under the impression you knew we were coming."
Bilbo stilled for a moment. "It's quite alright. Miss Grimm. It's not your fault feel free to leave anything there by the door."
Trix nodded "Thank you, Mr. Baggins and please call me Trix."
Bilbo nodded with a strained smile. "Call me Bilbo."
Trix smiled softly and bowed her head once more.
