Four Seasons Hotel (Hong Kong) - November 2017

Chou Tzuyu flinched as her tired body fell onto the comfortable bed of the room she shared with Sana. After a day of intense practice, readying for their performance at M.A.M.A. which was only a day away, Tzuyu's bones felt like lead. She sighed and let out an exhausted groan into her pillow. Though tired, the adrenaline pumping through her body refused to make her feel sleepy. She turned her body around to observe the TV show Sana was watching. "Why is everybody dancing?"

"Because it's a musical," Sana quipped from her bed.

"How do they all know the same dance?" the maknae questioned.

"That's just what a musical is like."

Tzuyu frowned. "So we're expected to believe that this group of friends came upon a situation to which they all knew the same song and the same choreography to express their feelings about the situation?" She smirked. "Sounds a bit far-fetched, if you'd ask me."

Sana let out a frustrated exhale. "Well, no one asked you."

A satisfied feeling of triumph came over Tzuyu as she succeeded annoying Sana. She opened her mouth to say something more annoying when the door to their room opened. It was Jeongyeon, entering with the spare key she was given. It was a JYPE rule; the members and management should have access to all the Twice members' rooms, in case of emergencies. They were ideally supposed to knock, but the Twice members, being like sisters, didn't really make the effort to do that.

Jeongyeon stepped in, tying her short hair into a ponytail. Tzuyu noticed that she was dressed up, in black jeans, a cropped t-shirt and an expensive, hooded leather jacket. "Are you going somewhere?"

"Yeah, I got permission to go out with Jimin. We want to have dinner together," the oldest replied, checking her reflection in the mirror.

Sana swooned. "A night in the city of Hong-Kong, how romantic!" Both Tzuyu and Jeongyeon crinkled their noses.

"I don't want to say 'romantic'," Jeongyeon corrected. "We want to spend some time together. It's been a while, and December is going to be busy for both of us."

"So, why are you here? Do you want to borrow my make up?" Sana asked, already getting off the bed to help her, but Jeongyeon stopped her. "No, no. I'm actually here to ask if Tzuyu wants to join us."

Tzuyu's eyes widened. "Unnie, are you serious? I don't think my legs work after today's practice. Plus, I don't want to be third-wheeling while you and Jimin Oppa eat each other out. Hard pass."

Jeongyeon swatted the maknae's thigh. "Where did you learn to talk like that, Tzuyu!?"

While Tzuyu laughed, Sana shook her head. "She's been watching too many Hollywood movies."

"Well, they are way better than those musicals and soap operas you watch," the maknae retorted, and her face was immediately welcomed by a pillow Sana threw at her, which made her laugh harder.

Jeongyeon sighed and took the pillow away from her. "I called you because Kim Taehyung is joining us."

That halted Tzuyu's chuckles. It took every bit of control left in her to stop herself from reacting, because she knew how badly she would be teased by the girls in the room if she reacted, after all the sass she had given them. "W-why would you think I would want to come?"

"Oh, maybe because you have a huge crush on him that you are in denial about?" Jeongyeon replied nonchalantly.

"I do not!"

"You're just proving her point," Sana pointed out.

Tzuyu rolled her eyes and got off the bed, her hammering heart sending renewed energy through her tired body. "We're just friends."
