Prince Hotel Sky Tower (Nagoya, Japan) - January 2019

Fresh out of a well-needed shower, Taehyung retreated to the peaceful solitude of his twin bed after an exhausting day's practice and rehearsals, falling spread-eagle against the softness of the sheets. The sound of Jungkook's loud shower singing filled the room that he shared with the maknae. The band had arrived in Japan the previous day for their 'Love yourself' World Tour, and hardly had anytime to relax or settle down due to their packed schedule. Which meant Taehyung hadn't even found the time to text or talk to his girlfriend.

Upon the sudden realisation, he sat up in a second and pulled out his phone. The last message he'd sent to her was before boarding the flight, to which she had replied 'Have a safe flight. Text me when you've reached'.

Face-palming himself for being so inconsiderate, he almost made a call to her, exactly when his roommate walked out of the bathroom, drying his wet hair and still singing. The phone in his hand was thrown onto the nightstand and Taehyung breathed out a sigh of relief. He didn't want Jungkook overhearing him apologise to Tzuyu, as it would surely raise doubts.

The younger boy snuggled into the covers of the other bed, and Taehyung did exactly the same, pretending to be asleep while waiting for Jungkook to fall asleep.

Which took longer than he expected.

Jungkook spent a good thirty minutes playing an online game, screaming instructions and bantered taunts at the rest of his team players (Jungkook took his gaming very seriously. The boy hated to lose). When he finally got bored, he watched YouTube videos, laughing at a volume that almost made Taehyung cover his ears. Some moments later, he heard the click of the lights being turned off, and Jungkook's soft breathing followed not too late after. Taehyung peeked through his covers, and he let out a sigh of relief upon see the sleeping maknae.

Grabbing his phone and pulling the duvet over his head, he immediately called Tzuyu; the time was way past midnight, and he hoped she was still awake. A few dials later, she finally picked up. "Hello?" she said, her voice thick with sleep.

Her bedroom voice made his toes curl. "Tzuyu-ah, did I wake you up?"

"It's fine," he heard her say. "I'm glad you called."

He smiled to himself. "Are you upset I didn't talk to you after I arrived?"

"No, nothing as such," she stated. "I just wanted to know if you arrived safely. Thanks to Jeongyeon Unnie, I was still updated."

"I'm sorry," he apologised.

"You don't have to say that. I know how hectic your schedule probably is."

"I miss you," he whispered, and he knew she would be blushing, judging by her slightly delayed response.

"I miss you, too," she finally replied, and Taehyung's heart fluttered.

"How was your day?" she blurted out, changing the topic and he couldn't stop a light chuckle escape his lips.

"It was tiring, but felt amazing," he answered, rubbing his eye. "I can't wait to see the fans tomorrow." He bit his lower lip, remembering something suddenly. "Can you facetime me now? I have something to show you."

She agreed, with slight suspicion in her voice. Her face appeared on the screen a few moments later, tranquil and beautiful as always. He saw her squint her eyes at her phone. "Oppa, I can't see you. It's too dark."

He turned up the brightness of his screen so the light would help her see better. He ruffled the bangs hanging over his forehead, showing off his hair, dyed in a beautiful cobalt blue. Taehyung could see the evident shock and surprise on Tzuyu's face. "Some of us got new colours today. I chose this." He smiled. "Do you like it?"
