Twice Dorm (Seoul) - December 2018
"Oh Lord, I can finally get out of these wretched shoes!" Momo growled as she slipped off her kitty heels and fell onto the couch of the living area of their dorm with an exhausted moan. The girls were too tired to carry themselves to their rooms, and they settled downstairs to catch their energy. Psy's party had really worn them out; Tzuyu had never seen the members this exhausted from a party.
Except for her; her heart still raced rapidly as if she ran a day long marathon. The events of the night burnt in her mind were now slowly causing her to hyperventilate. While the others relaxed on the couches and carpeted floor, she stood in the hallway, too distracted to even remove her shoes.
The shoes she was wearing when he kissed her, the shoes she was wearing when he danced with her.
Part of her felt like she just walked out of a fairy-tale, but the very 'Tzuyu' part of her was freaking out beyond reason. She shook her head and steadied her dizzying head by placing a hand on the wall. Wasn't this what she wanted, what she dreamed of? Why was it so hard to take in though? Why was her anxiety not letting her enjoy this happiness?
"Tzuyu-ah!" she heard Nayeon scream, and her whipped in the direction of the members, who looked at her oddly.
"Yeah?" she responded, getting out of her shoes.
"I called for you five times," Nayeon stated, sitting up when the maknae approached the members. "What's up with you?"
"Yeah, you've been acting weird the entire night," Dahyun pointed out.
Ji-Hyo pulled Tzuyu to sit beside her on the two-seater couch. "You can tell us if something is bothering you. Or if someone bothered you."
Tzuyu bit her lip. She needed to tell them. Just keeping it within her would make her explode. Their possible reactions scared her, but she needed advice and she needed someone to comfort her. She hated hiding all this within her.
Her eyes read the room, taking in the waiting faces of her unnies. They cared about her so much and the evidence was right infront of her. They had a right to know.
She exhaled deeply and closed her eyes. Okay, this was happening.
"Taehyung Oppa and I kissed."
There was silence at first. A very loud silence. She was so close to regretting what she said, when she heard loud squeals, excited giggles and a series of unfathomable questions.
She opened her eyes and her breath hitched at the view of her unnies suddenly all around her by the couch. They were still talking, some were still squealing and there were still unanswered questions, but Tzuyu was too frozen to open her mouth to say anything.
It was Ji-Hyo who finally silenced everyone. "Yah, girls, keep quiet! You're scaring Tzuyu! No screaming, especially you, Sana. Questions will be asked one by one. Raise your hands if you want to ask anything."
Eight arms shot up immediately.
Tzuyu couldn't stop a small smile. Ji-Hyo chose Momo first.
"How did it happen?" she asked.
Tzuyu blushed. "We went for a walk, as you know. And we were talking for a bit, and there was a mistletoe. And it kind of just happened."
"No wonder you looked like you saw a ghost when you came back to the party!" Nayeon exclaimed with a teasing smile.
"My turn, my turn!" Sana gasped. "Who kissed who?"
"I did," Tzuyu shyly admitted and there was another wave of high-pitched squeals, laughs and a collective sound of gasps. Tzuyu still couldn't believe she initiated her; how could she expect her members be cool with it? It was so out of character for someone like her.
