Twice Dorm (Seoul) – January 2019

Tzuyu didn't remember much from the drive back home, as she was asleep for most of it. Taehyung had to shake her shoulder slightly to wake her up when they finally arrived at her dorm. She stretched her arms out and sat up, noticing that he had inclined the seat slightly for her to have a better sleep.

"Sorry for keeping you up this late," he said with concern. "If you were this tired, you should've told me."

Tzuyu shook her head. "It's alright, Oppa. We both needed this tonight."

"Well, in the future, please feel free to tell me anything, alright?" he insisted. He stroked her hair gently. "I don't ever want you to feel any discomfort because of me."

She smiled at him, and she opened her mouth to reply but a yawn came out instead. While she blushed out of embarrassment, he chuckled lightly and looked at her in adoration. "Tzuyu, thank you for being mine."

'Mine'. That word made her heart soar. She, as of today, was Kim Taehyung's, and he was hers. A million girls around the world would kill to be in her position, and Tzuyu was beyond grateful. "Mine," she repeated, in her sleepy daze.

A sweet smile decorated his perfect face. "Yes, yours. Always," he assured. "You should go and catch up on your sleep."

Tzuyu nodded and said her goodbye, stepping out of the car. She waved at him before heading to the elevator. Pressing the button to her floor, she glanced at his direction again. His window was rolled down, and he was watching her, which made Tzuyu bite her lip to control the smile that threatened to show on her face. The elevator doors began to close and the last thing Tzuyu saw him do was blow her a kiss. She was grateful that he didn't see her embarrassing reaction to it.

.....

One thing Tzuyu hated about herself was her body alarm; it didn't matter if she only slept for a few minutes the previous night, she would find herself always waking up at 8:00am. Being raised as an early bird since her childhood, it became a self-imprinted habit even well into her adult life. Tzuyu rolled in bed, trying to fall back to sleep. Giving up after minutes of hiding her face under her pillow to cover the morning light seeping into her room, she dragged herself downstairs to continue with the rest of the day.

"Coffeeee," she groaned as she stepped into the kitchen, amusing Ji-Hyo and Jeongyeon who were having their morning coffee at the kitchen counter. The maknae filled her mug and sat with her unnies. "Good morning."

"Morning, Tzuyu-ah," Ji-Hyo replied. She casted a nervous glance at Jeongyeon, who nodded her head reassuringly. "Erm, so how did it go last night with Taehyung?"

Tzuyu paused, mid-sip. She gulped hard, knowing she had to lie to the older members. "It went okay. We agreed we're both not ready for anything serious right now, so we decided to just be friends." Their shocked faces made her put her mug down, and she held their hands. "It's for the best, don't be too surprised."

"No, it's just that you're taking it..." Jeongyeon struggled to find the words "...really well."

Tzuyu let out a laugh. "I'm not loosing him. We can still hangout. There is so much happening in our lives right now. It's not the right time to think about being anything more." Tzuyu was quite impressed with how effortlessly she was lying. That didn't mean she didn't hate it. These girls were more than family to her; they never kept any secrets from each other. But it was a sacrifice Tzuyu had to make for the sake of her relationship with Taehyung.

Ji-Hyo patted her shoulder. "Well, I'm really proud of the way you're handling this. You're becoming really mature."

Yeah, right.
