The shadows dispersed quickly as a tall dark man appeared out of the shadows. "Long time no see, Alyssa," the man said as I looked at him in shock. "Rogue," I whispered, seeing a tall man with long white hair with a black fringe tied in a high pony tail.

"I'm guessing you're the Rogue of the future," I said, asking future me to stand back

"I'm guessing you're the Rogue of the future," I said, asking future me to stand back. "Spot on, you're even smarter than I remember," he snickered, as I looked into his eyes.

His eyes were blood red and I couldn't believe that this was the same rogue who loved Frosch with all his heart and the Rogue who would never fight with his guildmates.

"I'm surprised you're still alive Alyssa," he said motioning to future me. "What does he mean?" I asked her, as he snickered. "I'm guessing she hasn't told you, has she?"

"Don't say anything Rogue," future me said, as I wondered what she was keeping from me. "You'll change the future," she whispered, with her head hanging low. "That's what I'm trying to do," he snickered as I felt a large amount of magic aim straight towards me.

"If present Rogue finds out you die, then he will welcome his shadow and I will be born even sooner!" He yelled, staring straight at me. "Why can't I move?" I thought, feeling my body paralyse in fear. The shadow came closer to me, and I knew that this was the end for me.

"I didn't even get to apologise to Rogue," I thought, a tear creeping up to my face.  As I closed my eyes, embracing my fate, I knew that it would come and kill me any second, but it never came.

As I opened my eyes in shock, I saw that  future me was on the floor, a large wound appearing across her chest. "W-why?" I asked, stuttering, as she smiled at me. "Please protect Rogue from the present," she whispered as I fell to the ground struggling to hold in my tears.

"Please protect Rogue," she whispered, as I hugged her, holding her in my arms, as she took her last breath. "Take the others out of here," I said to Natsu, slowly getting up. "I won't let him turn Rogue into a monster!" I shouted with anger as I attacked him. "Ice dragon's crushing fang!" I shouted, attacking him.

He smiled at me, laughing as he whispered something under his breath. Looking confused, I felt my whole body engulf in shadows.

"It hurts so bad," I thought as Yukino ran to me, holding me. "That was dumb of you," Future Rogue said, as I looked at him with anger.

"I remember you a lot smarter than that," he laughed as I held my hand into a fist. "I told you to get away," I told Yukino, as I pushed her away. "I don't want you to get hurt," I said, telling Natsu to go to Crime Sociere and ask them to come help.

He nodded silently as the others followed him outside the castle. "It's just you and me now," I smiled, as future Rogue laughed.

"That was also dumb," he snickered. "No one can hear your screams!" He shouted, sending a shadow over my way.

"Ice dragon's roar!" I shouted cancelling the shadow. He looked shocked as I smiled. "I'm stronger than you might think," I laughed, as Rogue smiled at me. "Now I know why I fell in love with you," he smiled, as I looked at him in shock blushing.

"You f-fell in love with me!" I stuttered, breaking my concentration as he laughed, walking slowly towards me. "We were always close friends and I couldn't help it," he said, brushing a piece of hair out of my face as he leant into my lips.

Closing my eyes, I blushed slightly as I felt his lips touch mine softly. His hand was supporting my chin, and he pulled me up to his lips. "That felt nice," he whispered, and he pulled away, and I was a blushing mess.

"W-what was that for?" I said, but I was interrupted by a sharp pain as I saw the shadows engulf me. "Just to get you distracted," he snickered, as I fell on the floor, angered, as I wiped my lips with my top.

"That wasn't very nice," I angrily said, as he laughed. "I'll show you something else," he said, as I felt an immense power arise from him. "What is this?" I thought, as I was blinded by a light.
