Alyssa POV

A month had passed since the fight with Future Rogue. Lexi and I were busy defeating all the dark guilds. I had promised Ultear to defeat all the dark guilds, which would take years to complete. I knew it would be hard, and I knew that I couldn't do it by myself, but I had help. Lexi was with me, but I hadn't had the courage to tell anyone else. Not even Jellal, or Meldy. I couldn't help but wonder if they knew that Ultear sacrificed herself. A tear fell down my eyes, but I quickly wiped it, when Lexi looked at me.

"So what is your plan?" she asked, as I sighed. "We need to find Tartaros." It had been a month, and I hadn't been able to locate them. I spent my days researching about the Balam Alliance and the dark guilds associated with Tartaros. Tartaros was the one guild on the Balam Alliance that hadn't been defeated. Fairy Tail had already defeated Oracien Seis and Grimoire Heart. I was debating on whether or not getting their help to find and defeat Tartaros, but I didn't want them to take over as this was my responsibility.

I looked over at Lexi and she looked stressed. She was in her exceed form, and her hands were clenched in a fist. "How are we going to do that?" she sighed, and I sat down running my fingers through my hair. "I don't know," I said softly. It was the truth, I really didn't know how we were supposed to find Tartaros. I knew that some other dark guilds followed them, so if we found them, we could find Tartaros, and defeat them for good. I knew they were a powerful guild though, but according to rumours I heard, there were only nine powerful members, and the rest were soldiers, easy to defeat.

"I did make a promise though Lexi, so no matter what I will find them, and you don't have to help if you don't want to. We could die, trying to defeat them," I said softly. I never wanted to bring Lexi into my drama, but she just laughed. "Then we die. We've gone through a lot worse than defeating some dark guilds."

At that, I laughed as well. I was so grateful that I had a friend with me, and I don't know what I would have done if she left me. I missed Sabertooth as well, but that was my past. My future was to defeat Zeref. I made that promise.

"Thank you Lexi," I said, unable to hide my smile. "I'm so glad you're with me, and I'm so grateful that I can have a friend as good as you."

"Don't tell me you're going weak on me," she laughed, and I punched her playfully. "Never," I chuckled. I picked her up, and hugged her tight, ignoring her protests. I rarely hugged her, but I was so happy that she was with me, and she hugged me back with a smile.

"I needed to tell you something Alyssa," she said as she broke apart from our hug. "I heard some rumours that a village was frozen solid, including the people that live there." she said, as my eyes widened. "Where did you hear this?" I said softly. "Yesterday... When I was getting food from the nearest village." She shrugged, and I nodded.

"We should check it out," I said. This could be a dark source of magic. Who else would freeze a whole city including the people that live in it? "Did you hear what the village was called?" I asked her. "Sun village?" she said. She didn't seem sure of herself, but I wanted to check it out.

Maybe I could even help unfreeze the village. As an ice-dragon slayer, I couldn't help being curious at who would do such a thing.

"We should head over there as soon as possible," I said with an excited smile. "Let's do it," she said, as I packed up my bag to get ready to leave to Sun Village.

...

We finally made it to Sun Village. It took a couple days to travel there, but as soon as we arrived, I knew that we were at the right place. The whole area was frozen. "This ice," I muttered, touching the ice. It felt different... Somehow. "The whole area is frozen," Lexi said from above me. "The person who did this is dangerous," I said coldly. The ice was dark magic. The floor was completely frozen, I couldn't feel underneath it, and usually I could control ice, break it, but I couldn't do anything to this ice. "What's wrong Alyssa?" Lexi asked me.

"This ice, it's different. It's stronger than mine," I said softly. She looked at me in shock. "Stronger than a dragon's ice?" I nodded, surprised that there could be a type of ice stronger than mine.

"Have you found anything?" I said, looking over at her sighing. "Nothing. There's no one here." I grumbled at that. I thought that there would be something here, someone, but all I could see was ice, and it was starting to frustrate me. I tried punching the ice, I just wanted to destroy it, but it wasn't breaking, not even a single crack. "Damn it," I cursed.

"Alyssa?" I heard a familiar voice behind me, and I froze. I turned around quickly, and my eyes widened in shock. "Minerva?" I said clenching my fist. I looked at her and she had a mark of a guild on her waist. It was shaped as an eye. I was shocked. She was part of a dark guild now.

Succubus Eye. A guild under the control of Tartaros, the very guild I was trying to destroy. She looked different, more colder. "What are you doing here?" I said with shock.
