The calm and cold wind of Roppongi soothed the stillness, tension, and uneasiness between the brothers. They were outside the hospital, seated on the bench, watching the stars on the horizon.

"Congratulations, brother," Rindou uttered, congratulating his big brother for being a father. Rindou is happy, though there is a glint of sadness in his voice, and Ran notices that. Even so, Ran genuinely smiled, messing Rindou's hair, and replied, "Thank you!"

Rindou leaned his back against the bench's backrest and sighed, 'You must have been God's favorite, huh? "That made Ran frown and question Rindou, "What do you mean? "He asked.

"It's not only God who is in favor of you but also destiny." Rindou ignored his brother's question and continued his assertion. "No matter what happened, you and Miyuki-Kiyomi would rather always find a way to get back in each other's arms."

Rindou clenched his fist, believing it was unfair that Ran always got what he wanted. He feels envious and inferior to his brother.

"This is not the first time... but the third time, the third time when destiny and god let the both of you meet." Rindou recalled the first time Ran saw Kiyomi, which was the day they were released from juvie when they were thirteen. The second time was when they saw Kiyomi being bullied in the alleyway, and the third time was when they bumped into her at the club.

Rindou gulped, and his eyes went round upon realizing what it meant. "You and Kiyomi are soulmates." He never believes in soulmates, but realizing and witnessing such an occurrence made him think and wish to know when he'll be able to find his soulmate.

"Rindou..." Ran covered his mouth with his hand as he was so shaken and speechless that all he could utter was his brother's name. Rindou sat properly, running his fingers through his hair, and whispered, "Who am I to protest? I'm just nobody. I'm merely her boyfriend's little brother."

Conversing with Rindou made Ran wonder what Rindou liked about Kiyomi; he is curious. Therefore, he asked his brother, "What makes you like her?"

"To be honest, I never like her, ever." Ran gasped at Rindou's answer; he was awestruck. "For me, she's a threat between us brothers, and I was right," Rindou explained.

"I hate her. I hate Miyuki."

"I hated her as she quickly captured your attention when we first met her."

Suddenly, Ran broke into laughter, hitting his brother's arm while he fell in the seat, blaring, "Are you saying you're jealous of Kiyomi? What the hell, men! HAHAHA!"

"Stop it, Nii-chan! Of course, I'll be jealous—you're the most important person to me, and just like any little brother, I want your love and attention only to me!" Rindou blushed and pushed Ran completely to the ground before covering his face in embarrassment at his sudden admission.

"Aww, I didn't know that my baby brother is possessive!" Ran stood up from the ground and taunted his little brother, messing with Rin's hair.

"Shut up, that was back then! I am a grown-ass man now!"
