chapter 5

Annaleise POV

after first period law class, I had a morning tea break.

Grayce and I decided we would stick together, because these halls were crowded with loads of people.

Trailing behind us was also Parker, Greyson and a few of their friends.

We get a few weird looks from people, probably wondering why the most popular guys in the whole college are following two girls.

"you guys hungry?" Parker asks pulling my arm back a little, so Grayce and I stop and turn around.

"No I'm okay thanks" I say quietly and Grayce nods.

from the corner of my eye I see Greyson staring down at me, when I make eye contact with him he holds it for a couple of seconds, looks me up and down, than starts walking off.

"the fucks he going?" Parker says scoffing, before pulling us to follow him.

"cafeteria food here is shit" I look to my right to see a guy around 6ft 1, with the brownest hair and brown eyes, talking to me.

"oh, right, well I wasn't going to have anything so that okay" I say awkwardly

"I'm Kade, one of your brothers friends, and you my dear must be Annaleise" he says leaning in closer to me.

I chuckle nervously "yes that's me" I mumble.

"get the fuck away from her kade she ain't interested" Parker shoves Kade out the way.

"it's okay I'm fine" I smile and nod towards the direction grey walked off in.

we find greyson sitting on a bench with a girl on his lap, they were sucking each other lips off, gross.

"yo grey, you coming?" Parker yells, and Greyson turns his head towards us.

he nods and pushes the chick off him gently, she turns around and looks me up and down with a dirty look before walking off.

I'm staring at the ground in embarrassment, do I look that bad today? Or maybe I'm not pretty? Am I fat?.

"you good princess?"

I look up to see grey walking past me and eyeing me carefully, I nod in return and continue following.

after morning tea break I had one class left of the day English.

walking into this English class felt weird, there was loads of people staring at me, guys especially.

I gulped and kept walking, just as I was about to stop, I got a shove to my side which caused me to fly into someone's lap, hands immediately grabbed my waist, and I got the strong scent of cologne whisked into my nose.

"the fuck was that for Hailey?" I hear the deep voice boom, and suddenly realize I was pushed into Greyson Reid's lap.

my cheeks turn red at the thought, and remember his hands are still on my hips.

I wiggle off his lap which causes him to stiffen, and let out a little cough.

"sorry grey grey, it was an accident" she giggles flirtatiously before walking off.

"fucking bitch" I hear him mutter.

"sorry for falling on you g-grey" I lightly blush and find a seat in front of him.

"grey hm? I like it when you call me that" he mumbles quietly before the professor starts speaking.
