Beep beep beep. Third day of high school. At least I haven't died yet. I sit up and stretch. Once I finish up my morning routine I head downstairs. "Morning." I say to RM, who's sitting in the kitchen eating. "Morning." They say, her mouth full. "Where's mom?" I ask, looking around. "She went to the store, we ran out of milk." I hum, nodding. I walk over to the fridge and pour myself some orange juice.

"Can you give me a ride today?" I ask, sitting down at the table. "Sure." They smile. "So did you have fun with Clay yesterday?" They ask, giving me a knowing look. I roll my eyes. "Yeah we played the Wii." She nods as she finishes up their breakfast. "Not eating?" I shake my head. I ate enough yesterday to last me a while. Plus I need to lose some weight anyways. "When's the last time you ate?" She raises an eyebrow. "Lunch yesterday?" I skipped dinner because I was too tired and honestly didn't feel like eating. "If you don't eat at school today I'm going to boil your toes." They state nonchalantly. I raise my hands in defense and I laugh lightly. "Promise?" They ask, more seriously this time. "Promise." I hold out my pinky. She links their pinky with mine and smiles.

We get in the car and RM drives us to the high school. As we pull in it starts raining. As RM pulls up to the drop off lane I notice LouLou, getting all wet. I hop out of the car, grabbing an umbrella from the backseat for LouLou. I know she walks home and I figured it would still be raining then.

"Here!" I smile, handing LouLou the umbrella. "Thanks!" She smiles, linking arms with me. We walk into the school with smiles on our faces. "Thank God you're here today, I don't think I could have survived another day sitting with straight boys at lunch." I say, fake gagging. I mean, at least I think Tobi's straight. "Wait- boys. As in multiple?" She asks. "Oh shit- I forgot to tell you about Clay's friend! He just transferred here. His name is Tobi." LouLou looks at me suspiciously. "What?! He's genuinely cool!" "Hmm, okay, fine I believe you. I have to go this way, but see you next period!" She hugs me goodbye. We part ways and not even seconds later I arrive at my first class.

"Look who it is~ Your girlfriend!" Mason chuckles, nudging Clay on the arm. "Me and him are not dating!" Clay groans, emphasizing the "him", which sends a shock of euphoria through my body. I smile and walk towards my seat, shooing random students away from it. "Hey." I smile, sitting down. "Hello!" Clay half smiles back. "You didn't text me this morning!" Clay whines, playfully smacking me on the shoulder. "Sorry I forgot!" I giggle. "Can we sit together at lunch again?" I nod and turn to face the front of the classroom, waiting for the teacher to walk in.

We have some free time at the end of the class so I turn towards Clay. "Do you want me to teach you how to play the ukulele?" I ask suddenly. Clay smiles brightly. "You'd do that?" He beams. "Of course." I laugh. "Okay um- can I come over tomorrow?" "Yeah sure!" I grin. "Well well well... What do we have here? Are you two... flirting?" Mason asks sarcastically. "Go away. We don't like you. No one does." He whispers the last past just to me. I giggle at that. Mason scoffs. "Whatever faggots." Ben laughs and they walk away. I sigh, looking down at my hands. "Hey don't listen to them, they're homophobic idiots. They literally share one brain cell." Clay smiles. "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were dating." I state, crossing my arms. Clay laughs.

We continue to talk until the bell rings. I start packing up until I realize something... Maybe I do have a crush on him?
