Chapter 15

Tammy felt like she was going to throw up.

Levi? She tried to say, but her mouth didn't work.

She was completely frozen.

But before she could do anything, Bruno's grip on her shoulder loosened.

And in what seemed no more than a second, he had Levi by the shirt.

Tammy could tell it was taking every ounce of his willpower to not be holding him by the throat. She'd seen Bruno in his protective mode before, but never like this. She actually felt a little worried for Levi. They were pretty evenly matched in size, but she didn't fancy his chances against the amount of sheer rage that was coursing through Bruno right now.

Levi looked thoroughly confused to see him, but Tammy couldn't hear what Bruno was saying to him.

But then, he pointed at her.

Levi's face turned, and he looked at her. And his face fell in horror.

She saw him mouth the words.

'Oh, fuck'

Levi tried to get Bruno to let go of his shirt, but he didn't. He just brought him closer and closer, screaming at him. Levi held his hands up defensively, which seemed to trigger something in Bruno, as he immediately let go.

Far too late to be useful, a few helpful strangers nearby intervened, and as they tried to calm the boys down, Cherry ran to Tammy.

"Are you guys still together?" She asked, desperately, looking absolutely horrified.

"Well, not any more, as of now. Are you guys fucking?"

Cherry looked shocked, but nodded.

Tammy shook her head in disbelief. "For how long?"

"He told me you broke up. I'm so sorry. Tammy you know I would never..."

" How long, Cherry?"

"A few weeks."

"Levi and I have been together for the best part of a year. Even if we had broken up, you could have given me a heads up that you were fucking him."

She sighed. "He said he'd broken up with you for me. He said he'd done it weeks ago. I didn't think you'd want to talk to me. I didn't plan this. I'm so sorry."

"Is this why you dumped Cora?"

Cherry looked ashamed, and frowned. But nodded.

"You broke up with Cora because you were already planning on hooking up with him. Sounds like you planned it to me"

Cherry went to say something, but wisely, didn't.

"This is what he does, Cherry. I already figured out he was cheating, I just didn't have proof. Now I do. He's trash, girl. And what you did to Cora was shitty. But even you can do better than him. "

Cherry nodded, and Tammy reached for her hand. She gave it to her, surprised, but looked like she was about to cry when Tammy gave it a squeeze.

Tammy walked over to Bruno, when she felt a hand on her arm.

"Tammy, wait "

She closed her eyes, immediately shaking it off. She knew who it was. "Get your fucking hands off me, Levi."

"Honey, please , I can fix this. I love you. I'm so sorry." Right in front of Cherry. You fucking class act.

Bruno stepped around the guys who'd been intervening, but they let him go. He placed a firm bit gentle palm on Levi's chest.
