Bruno awoke as the front door closed downstairs.
He looked down, and noticed he hadn't moved from the night before; a curled up, comfortably sleeping Tammy in his arms.
God, he wouldn't mind waking up like this every morning .
He slowly unwrapped his arm from around her, slipping back off the bed. It was light enough now that he didn't think she'd be too stressed waking up.
He grabbed a change of clothes and slipped out the door, intentionally hoping to avoid Cora. He made his way to the bathroom, and jumped immediately into the shower.
After he was done, he checked on Tammy.
Still sleeping .
He made his way downstairs, figuring he'd run into Cora, but he didn't.
He looked over at the shoes next to the door, and didn't see any mens' ones other than his.
Must have been Will that left.
He pulled his on and jogged to the cafe on the corner, picking up breakfast for the three of them.
As he came back, he slammed the door a little, cringing at how loud it was. But as he kicked off his shoes and stepped in to the kitchen, he found Tammy sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping a cup of coffee.
She'd finally taken her hair out of the braids she'd worn the night before, and it made her hair look like she'd just stepped out of a mermaid casting.
She grinned at him, somehow looking more beautiful than he'd ever seen her.
He wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that she was still wearing his hoodie.
He passed her a small sandwich bag, and she gasped with happiness as she pulled out the bacon and egg roll he'd bought her.
He thought about putting Cora's in the oven to keep it warm, but almost as if summoned, he heard her thumping down the stairs.
She stopped as soon as she hit the landing, seeing Tammy there.
"Tammy?"
Her mouth fell open as she noticed her wearing Bruno's hoodie.
"Oh my god, finally!" she squealed, running to Tammy and throwing her arms around her.
Bruno and Tammy looked at each other, and burst out laughing.
"Babe, it's not what you think."
Cora withdrew, obviously sad. "What!? You didn't..."
Tammy shook her head, and Bruno slid her breakfast over to her.
Cora pulled out hers - a vegan version of what he and Tammy were having. She beamed at him.
"So why the hell are you at our house wearing Bruno's clothes? 'Cause Will left at about 7am, and I know for a fact that neither of you were on the couch when I saw him off."
She grinned conspiratorily at them.
Tammy sighed. "Levi and I broke up."
Cora's mood immediately shifted. "Oh my god, babe ."
She almost dropped her breakfast she hugged Tammy so hard. "What happened? Why didn't you tell me last night?"
Tammy frowned, looking at Bruno for help.
"Because it involves you. And Tammy didn't want to ruin your night."
Tammy and Bruno filled her in on the full story of what happened. Cora was annoyed at Cherry, and obviously quite hurt, but more annoyed that they hadn't told her.
