Part 5

Killian pov

The summer was amazing. Rosie and I were closer than ever, but we decided not to tell anyone about it yet. After a week, I told her about the warriors and how I'm their leader. She was shocked but she said it doesn't change the way she feels about me. After two weeks, she told me about Zane and I couldn't believe that someone would do something like that to her. We never did anything more than kiss and make out because I didn't want to pressure her and I wasn't sure if she was ready for it. She still had to work for the summer though so we only saw each other on the weekends. It sucked but it was better than not seeing each other at all. 

Everyone was still teasing me for being happier than usual though. I couldn't stay in New Jersey for too long because I still had the warriors. Rosie and I hated that we couldn't see each other very often but were both understandings of each other's position. It's been about one month since we started seeing each other, and there are two weeks left of summer. We didn't have anything to do today with the warriors so we decided to stay in New Jersey for the day. We were in the car on the way to the hospital for my treatments.

Taylor - "Mom, Dad, I have a question"

Elliot - "Sure, Taylor, what's up?"

Taylor - "While Killian is doing his treatments, can we go to the wax museum nearby? I saw it online and it looked so cool!"

Christine - (hesitant) "I don't mind Taylor, but that will take a few hours and we might not be back in time to get your brother"

Killian - "Mom, come on, I'm almost eighteen and I have my phone and wallet with me"

She looked at my dad who nodded reluctantly.

Christine - "Okay, fine. Make sure you have your phone and ID on you at all times. Got it?"

Killian - "Yes, Mom"

Taylor - "Yes! Thank you, Killian!"

They dropped me off at the hospital and drove off. I couldn't wait to tell Rosie but I think she still had to work for the rest of the day. I waited in the lobby before the doctor came to call me in to the room for treatments. Rosie was already there and smiling.

Rosie - "Hey, Killie"

Killian - "Hey, baby"

We kissed shortly before I sat down in the chair and took off my shirt. I saw her bite her lip and I chuckled. She started my treatments and we were talking.

Rosie - "So, apparently, somebody picked up my shift so I have the rest of the day off after I finish with your treatments"

Killian - "Really?!"

Rosie - (giggles) "Well, someone's excited"

Killian - "Yeah because my parents will be busy for the next few hours so I'm free"

Rosie - "Yes! Okay, I have an idea"

We continues talking and laughing together while she finished my treatments. Once she was done we both left separately and met behind the hospital. We took the bus to some forest. It was so peaceful and it was completely empty. We sat down by one of the trees so that the leaves gave us shade. She sat down next to me but I picked her up and put her on my lap, and she giggled. God, that giggle is going to be the death of me. We talked and laughed for a while. I don't think I've ever been this happy in my life. I think I love her. I checked the time and it was already three o'clock. Oh shit. I had a missed call from my mom two minutes ago so I called her back.

~~ On-Call ~~

Christine - "Killian! I was so worried about you!"

Killian - "Sorry mom I didn't see your call until just now"

Christine - "Oh, ok. Well, we're done now and we were wondering where you are so we can come and pick you up"

Killian - "Oh um... just meet me back at the hospital. I'm not far from there"

Christine - "Ok. We're stuck in traffic so we won't be there for about twenty minutes"

Killian - "See you then. Love you"

Christine - "Love you too"

~~ End Call ~~

I hung up and looked back at Rose.

Killian - "My mom will be there soon"

Rosie - (sighs) "It's okay. I'll come back with you"

Killian - "Yeah, of course"

We both got up and started walking back to the hospital. I could tell that she was growing anxious about something.

Killian - "Everything okay, Rose?"

Rosie - "Um, I have to tell you about something"

Killian - "Baby you're scaring me. What is it?"

Rosie - "So, I won't be here for the next two weeks, or so"

Killian - "Ok..."

Rosie - "I'm going to visit my friend in New York. I won't be far, but, uh..."

Killian - "Rose, it's okay"

Rosie - "R-Really?"

Killian - "Of course it is! But I will miss you though"

Rosie - "Aw! I'll miss you too, Killie! And also... is the gang leader soft for a small doctor in New Jersey?"

Killian - (chuckles)"I suppose he is. Just don't tell anyone. Only you can see my teddy bear side"

Rosie - (giggles) "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me"

Killian - "I'm glad"

Rosie - "Can we still talk every day?"

Killian - "Oh, yes, I thought that was implied"

We continued talking until we got to the hospital. I kissed her goodbye and we went our separate ways. I waited outside and saw my dads' car pull up after a minute. I got in and we went home. Overall, today was pretty great.
