Part 12

Rosie pov

After everyone left, Killie and I were sitting on the couch together. I felt so bad for him. He was the one dying and I was the one crying about it. I decided I want to move to Hullbeck so I can be with him. We told his friends about us, and that night, we cried together, both of us letting us see each other vulnerable. I think this was the first time for both of us that we really let everything out. I was still holding in stuff from the memories of my dad and Zane. I don't know how I was going to survive without him, or even if I wanted to. After everything that I've been through, he has been the one that has helped me feel again; has helped me feel loved again. I woke up on Killies' chest, naked, and smiled. He was still sleeping, so I kissed him awake.

Killian - "What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. You are so beautiful, baby"

Rosie - "Shit, I forgot to call my mom"

I sat up abruptly and picked up my phone from the nightstand. I saw seven missed calls from my mom and two missed calls from Carly. This was going to be a lot of explaining.

Rosie - "Killie, my mom is worried about me. I have to get going now"

Killian - "It's okay, Rose. I'm probably gonna call everyone over soon to talk"

Rosie - "Okay, then. I'm gonna get going now"

Killian - (chuckles) "It might be a good idea to get dressed first"

Rosie - "Oh... right"

I got up and started putting on my clothes. I looked back and Killie was staring at me.

Rosie - "Are you just gonna sit and stare?"

Killian - "Is there a problem with that?"

I decided to tease him a little bit, and he let out a low laugh. I quickly got my things and went back to Addie's house. I opened the door and my mom was sitting on the couch with both Addie and Carly.

Anna - "Rosie, honey, are you okay?! I was so worried about you!"

Rosie - "Hey, mom..."

Carly - "Is everything okay, sweetheart?"

Rosie - "Um... could I talk to my mom? Alone, please?"

Addison - "Sure, Ro. Mom?"

Carly was confused but reluctantly followed Addie out of the living room.

Rosie - "So... I have some explaining to do"

Anna - "Before you do, are you okay?"

Rosie - "Yes, I'm okay, Mom. I promise"

Anna - "Okay. Good. Now, explain"

Rosie - "I'm just gonna say it all at once. One of my patients is my boyfriend and lives here in Hullbeck. I want to move here to live with him because we just found out that he only has six months left to live. I was with him last night"

She paused for a moment, stunned before she said;

Anna - "Do you love him?"

Rosie - "More than life, Mom"

Anna - "Are you two being safe?"

Rosie - "Yes, I'm on the pill"

Anna - "Is he treating you well. Because if he's not I swear I'll-"

Rosie - "Mom, he treats me like I'm his queen"

Anna - (sighs) "I haven't even met the damn boy. After that, I'll decide"

Rosie - "Thank you! Oh, one thing, though"

Anna - "What is it?"

Rosie - "Have you ever heard of the Wind Warriors?"

Anna - "It's funny you mention it. Carly told me about them earlier. Why?"

Rosie - (quickly) "My boyfriend is Killian Lucero"

Anna - "Oh..."

Rosie - "Mom, I promise, he is amazing and so sweet-"

Anna - "Ro, honey, as long as you two love each other and he treats you well and he's not taking advantage of you, then it's okay. But, I still want to meet him"

Rosie - "Thank you, Mom! I'll call him and ask him right now"

I hugged her and went to Addie's room. She was sitting on her bed, looking at something on her cell phone.

Rosie - "Hey, Addie"

Addison - "Ro! How'd it go with your mom?"

Rosie - "She said she wants to meet him and then she will decide if we can move to Hullbeck"

Addison - "Wait... move to Hullbeck?"

Rosie - "Yeah. I'll see if I can get a job at the local ER"

Addison - "That's awesome! But I have a question"

Rosie - "Sure, what's up, Addie?"

Addison - "Did you and Killian really have sex six times in the last three days?"

Rosie - (high-pitched) "Um..."

Addison - "Oh my god, you totally did!"

I giggled and she smiled.

Addison - "I'm so happy that you moved on, after what happened with Zane"

Rosie - "Me too, Addie. But there's something else that I have to tell you..."

Addison - "Everything okay, Ro?"

I sighed and sat down on the bed next to her. I told her everything about my dad and Lacey. Before I had told her that Lacey moved to Chicago and we lost touch. After I had told her everything, she sat there, speechless, on her bed.

Rosie - "I'm sorry I lied to you, Addie"

Addison - "Oh my god... Ro, I'm so sorry that I didn't realize and I wasn't there for you through all of this. Oh god, I'm such a horrible friend"

Rosie - "No, Addie, you are the best friend a girl could ask for. Thinking about our friendship was one of the only things that kept me sane through everything"

We both smiled and talked for a little bit. She asked me a few questions about everything.

Addison - "Does anyone else know?"

Rosie - "As I said, Gwen and her family already know, and I told Killian the other day"

Addison - "Yeah? How did that go?"

Rosie - "He was so supportive. He's helped me so much and he doesn't even realize it"

Addison - "Damn, you're in love, Ro"

Rosie - "Yeah, I really am. And I hate that he's going through all of this"

Addison - "It's not your fault. There's nothing else that you could have done for him"

Rosie - "I know that, but still"

We talked for a bit and she really cheered me up. We had a fashion show in her closet and ate lunch together. After we ate, I messaged Killie.

Killian - Hey Rose

Killian - How did it go with your mom?

Rosie - Really well, actually

Rosie - She wants to meet with you before she makes her final decision

Killian - That's great

Killian - But are you 100% sure?

Rosie - Yes I am. I promise

Killian - Okay

Rosie - How did it go with your friends?

Killian - Could have been better

Rosie - I'm sorry

Rosie - What happened?

Killian - Well...
