"It's not right. Keep your elbow higher!", he raises her elbow with a rod cane, giving a slap to her back for her to straighten it even more. She's questioning every gesture he's giving. Why? Does she really need to do this?
Just a while ago, Reiji called her over to teach her about table manners. She wasn't willing, at all. But she wouldn't have a choice.
Sighing, she 'tries' to comply with him, "I'm trying, okay?" But it wasn't the case at all. She has learned table manners years ago. 'I didn't want to do this in the first place. Why would I need table manners? Not to mention acting like I'm bad at it is exceptionally hard...'
"Simply trying is not enough. Give me the results, not your efforts", his stern voice making her lose her temper, ever so slowly. Taking steady breaths to calm herself down.

Kira sipped on the delicate teacup she was given with a proper tea inside, this time.
"You made a sound"
"Then how else do I drink tea?", intentionally putting the teacup down with a audible noise. She intends to disappoint him so much that he wouldn't bother with her again.
"I'm disappointed in you far beyond than I thought I would. You've exceeded my expectations"
"You're welcome", she said while rolling her eyes.
Her behaviour reminds him of a teenager in their rebellious phase. Reiji having read a few articles about such conditions and decided to test a theory out on her.
"How about we put it this way? If you manage to perfect the desired actions and attitude, there will be a reward, but fail to do so and there will be punishment. Is that clear?"
Taking a few moments to consider his offer. It won't be such a loss for her if he were to reward her. What reward again? She knows not but she is interested.
"Deal"
Sighing, she is a teen in a rebellious phase, after all, he thought. What comes after shocked Reiji more than anything. She is very good at manners, why would she hide it before?
She pours tea for him with a perfect posture. Sitting down the opposite from the coffee table in front of him, she picks up the teacup, sipping at it every so gently to not let out any noises. Being very careful. They didn't exchange any words, but they could guess what the other would be thinking.
'How do you take that?'
'Honestly, You could've done this at the very beginning'
'I had no reason to'
Clearing his throat, he looks at her in approval. "Not bad, but it still needs a little work. Like your respect on me", he walks over to her, taking her chin in his hand, making her look up at him.
Then, she slapped his hand off. Backing away from him. "Back off. Don't touch me"
She is a fine lady, as long as she keeps her mouth shut, was what he thought at that moment.
"Very well, But you do deserve a reward do you not? For completing the task", turned his heel away from her, to go sit back down on his chair. Leaning back.
She's very interested in it, but hides it under harsh words. "Talk about cliché"
"As much as I do not wish to give you the reward. I am a man of honor. I keep my promise"
"Well, then, what chu got?"
"How about cooking you a meal you like? Do you have a certain dish you like?"
"...."
Thinking hard. It has been quite a while since she had her favourite dish. What was it again? Something warm and sweet inside...
"Are you finished thinking?"
"....dumplings...."
"Dumplings? That's quite peculiar but wait for a moment, I'll make you some"
She nodded and left the room. Having a series of questions in her head. What just happened to her while with him? Was it really kindness that he has shown her? Is he not what she perceived he was....?
