Stuffing your face into your knees as you continue to scold yourself for letting your mouth speak before your thoughts could process, you look at the pictures of Shousuke and you together on your phone and can't help but want to bang your forehead against the screen.

In there, you and him are standing side by side. Shousuke, as always, has his usual handsome yet blank face (you can't deny that he is cute, especially with the fluffy cat ears, and you let it slip out accidentally). And you, who are a mess—your eyes are wide open and your hair is sticking out of place, disheveled. Not to mention the obvious red flush that paints all over your face.

𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆.

Instead of looking at the camera, the two of you were looking at each other.

You remembered feeling like you were exploding. Out of embarrassment or perhaps because of his eyes locking at your own. The way his dark purple irises seem to hold you in them, trapping you in an inescapable allure of his charms.

And it seems to be working. Quite well, too, honestly—[Name] stop that, you're delusional!

After that, you remembered bolting through the hallway like your life depended on it. You swear you never ran this fast in your whole life.

You clutch your shirt—the spot where your heart lies beneath the skin. It's thumping like a whiplash of thunder and lightning on a stormy night. The beating is rapid—too rapid. What's wrong with you?

You sit on the floor, tuck away in the corner with your knees pressing against your chest, and you brace your overheated face into them, trying to calm down. With the image of him swirling inside your malfunctioning brain, you don't realize how much time has ticked away. Too caught up with the task of calming your poor heart down from jumping out of your chest.

Then you feel something poking your arms gently.

Lifting your head from your knees, only to be slapped in the face by the view of Shousuke kneeling in front of your cowering frame. A paper plate filled with Takoyaki seems to have been made by him. Your nose immediately got hit by the mouthwatering smell as you were reminded about the lunch you had yet to have. And the realization of forgetting to participate in helping your class with the shop.

"Ah- I'm so sorry! I didn't realize it was time to open the shop already...!" Panic shot through you as your hands started to tremble and your eyes got watery.
You feel stupid and selfish for getting too caught up in your thoughts and not helping your classmates.

You're about to stand up. Only to be stopped by Shousuke shaking his head lightly and pushing the Takoyaki plate towards you.

"I have to help—" A protest leaves your mouth only to swallow it back down when he places the Takoyaki in front of your lips.

Ah, he's feeding you.

...

𝙃𝙚'𝙨 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪?!

You look at him with wide eyes and shaky lips. The warmth from the food seeped through your skin as he continued to hold it close to your lips.

Should you reject him and tell him that you can feed yourself? But you don't want to discourage him and become mean by rejecting him as well.

Letting out a small, shaky breath, you part your lips and take the Takoyaki into your mouth. Muttering a small thank you as you look at anything but him.

As you chewed, you could feel his eyes lingering on your face and couldn't help but wonder, Do I look that bad? Do I look stupid? Did I make a fool out of myself? Do I seem selfish for not helping my friends? As your thoughts continue to swirl, he places another one of the Takoyaki in front of your lips. Again.

And you eat it. Again.

If you thought he'd feed you one or two, then it'll be over.

You're dead wrong.

You sit there, letting him feed you until the plate is empty.

A realization of embarrassment hit you for the nth time of the day as you quickly apologized and thanked him before scrambling up to get dressed and help your friends with the shop. Leaving Shousuke with the empty plate behind.

Maybe you should've taken the plates and thrown them away for him as well—silly you.
