4. My suspicions

After we were dismissed on the field,some sisters came to meet me.

Thanking me about the fact that I took courage to ask the question and that they sometimes thought of it too but couldn't voice out. 

They were happy that they would work hard and have a baby to look after.

'We will have to summon courage to go plead with mother Monika to let us look after the babies our plants produce', one of them said.

'My baby will be so beautiful and charming. Have you seen my plant,so big and bright', another retorted.

I bade them farewell leaving them to their own thoughts.

'Sister Bethany',I heard Anna's voice shout my name.

I knew she said 'sister' because people where within earshot. She was waving vigorously while approaching me. 

She was trying to catch her breath after all the running and when she calmed down,she opened her mouth and said something finally.

'You've become so famous now dear friend,what a gut you had though',she said.

'The question wouldn't leave my mind, that's why',I answered shrugging.

'You think it's only you who got the question in mind. You were lucky mother Monika didn't take it the wrong way',she warned worriedly.

'And what way could she have taken it's,I said with no glint of fear.

'Wow, you've grown wings. Am proud of you,you are a very good law abider. So what's happening?',she questioned.

'And what law did I break now',I asked looking at her sternly.

'Not that look please,am just joking. Take a shower and be ready for prayers later.',she said shaking my arm.

'Goodbye then',I waved at her.

'Hmm,bye',she replied before entering her room.

I was able to have a fifteen minutes rest before the Bible lessons bell was rung. Picked up my Bible and was about to step out of the room when sister Michelle stopped me.

'what is it sister Michelle', I asked.

'nothing but can we go to the service hall together?',she asked.

'okay,no problem. You don't have to be so polite',I told her.

'Hmm, okay. Thanks sister Bethany',she responded.

We walked to the hall together and sat beside each other because at least we weren't friends.

I saw Anna kept looking at me with amusement,I know she's shocked me and my roommate could walk together.

Mother Monika wasn't present to anchor the service which happens once in a while though. So one of the youths anchored the service and we did meditation before we dismissed.

Going to the dinning hall I saw mother Monika with sister Rita,a sister in the above twenty-two group. They were going out of the Convent and this is the first time in all of my years in the Convent seeing someone using the gate.

I quickly look for a way to leave the other sisters and followed mother Monika and sister Rita without their knowledge.

Outside the gate,all I saw was just trees,forest and bushes. Trying to clear a stick from my way,I made a sound and mother Monika turned immediately.

I hid myself perfectly,thanks to the tree with a big body. When she scrutinized and saw noone,they continued their journey.

Scared of the unknown,I raced back to the convent and entered the dinning hall unnoticed.

After our meal,I went to my room with one thousand questions lingering in my brain of **why did mother Monika and sister Rita step out of the gate?** Never knew anyone could use the gate.

I kept thinking that maybe they wanted herbs from those trees or wanted to plant bigger trees in the forest. I kept tossing on my bed and pondering over the matter.

Why do you think mother Monika and sister Rita sneaked out?? It's getting adventurous....
