《○○○》

"How long will you be gone?" I asked, watching Ash organizing the last of his things before he left. I was awoken earlier by Ash's loud footstep though he said that he tried to keep quiet to not wake me. But he did and I wanted to see him before he left anyways. He was now wearing his hoodie having already finished packing his backpack.

"I'll be back before exam week starts." He answered, shooting me a smile.

I nodded and didn't say anything else. Ash put on his backpack and gripped the handle of his suitcase but he didn't move. Instead, he paused for a brief moment then looked up at me.

I was still in bed, sitting and hugging my covered legs due to the cold morning air. I was waiting for him to go to the door before I said my goodbye and go back to sleep since it was a Sunday morning. I'll wake up later and start organizing my notes. I watched Ash curiously as he let go of his suitcase and walk over to the bed bunks. He was out of my sight before his hands gripped the rails of my bed and his face popped up in front of me with his usual wide grin plastered on his lips.

I raised a brow. "What's wrong with you?"

"Gou, serious question..." His smiled turned sheepish and he avoided my eyes. His cheeks started to glow a shade darker and I grew curious. "Do you like me?"

PANG!  WHAT?! Where'd that come from?!

My heartbeat was erratic. I wonder if I had ever given him the wrong impression? Maybe now that he knows I'm gay he thinks I like him like that! I mean I did kiss him. That makes it worse! But he said it was okay! Was he lying?! Is he actually not okay with it this whole time?

"As a roommate..." He added slowly and looked back at me, staring at me intensely.

Oh...that's what he meant.

"Um... I don't know why the sudden curiosity but you're not as bad as I thought. Granted you are annoying and get on my nerves but I've gotten used to it and now you're like an annoying fly I can't rid of... Is that what you wanted to hear?" I mused, smirking at his shy expression which quickly turned to shock when he heard the fly bit.

"Yeah... but why are you comparing me to a fly?" He pouted angrily.

"Because you're annoying and you don't know when to give up."

"Hmph!" He scoffed and jumped off the bed. I rolled to the side of the bed and looked down at him as he grumpily grabbed his suitcase once more.

"Any reason why you're asking me this?" I asked.

Ash paused again. "I was thinking... maybe you wouldn't miss me because you're used to being here without me." His words and the look on his face made me frown. He was worried I wouldn't miss him?

"You're being ridiculous. Even if it's been a short while your presence is so pronounced... meaning you're too annoying to forget." The perk and slump in his posture was entertaining to witness as I said that. I had to keep myself from laughing but he saw my smile and glared at me.

"Nonetheless, you're still going to miss me. I'm gonna miss you too Gou." He smiled sweetly and finally began to make his way to the door.

"I'm sure you will." I laughed. "Don't torture Gary too much...and study your notes."

"Geez, okay mom."

"Get out."

"At least say you love me..."

"What?" We stared at each other. A look of shock staring at the other of expectation. "I said what I said. If you're gonna act like a mom at least say you love me."
