HEATHER'S POV

Jack and I have been engaged for two months now. When we told everyone they were so happy. My parents and Hannah have stayed with us for the wedding. Which is today!

Luckily Jack's wrist guard and cast came off last week but he still has to wear a boot on his foot. The bridesmaids - Hannah, Kelly, and Ashley - and I stayed at a hotel last night for my "bachelorette" party. Which was really just us and some cookies, champagne, and a bunch of rented movies.

Now Hannah, Kelly, and Ashley were helping each other get ready while I was sitting in a chair in the bathroom while my mom was helping me with my hair.

"You know," she said while curling my hair. "the last time we did this was when I helped you get ready for your Senior Prom."

I smiled at the thought of the two of us laughing and talking while she did my hair. She would curl my hair for every dance, birthday, and date I had. It was always a special memory that we will have.

"Now I'm doing it on your Wedding Day." She said with tears forming in her eyes.

"Mom, don't cry we both know I'm going to cry more than once today. I just didn't know I would start so soon." I fanned my hands in front of my face. "You're lucky I put on water proof mascara." I said making us both laugh.

Once she was done she turned off and unplugged the curling iron and sat it on the counter. I stood up and pulled her into a tight hug.

"I love you Mom."

"I love you too."

We walked back into the living room of the hotel suite where Hannah, Kelly, and Ashley had finished getting ready. They were wearing light pink dresses that fell just below their knees. Their hair was curled and the front pieces were pinned back with a flower that was the same color as their dresses.

I stepped into my bedroom in the suite and pulled my dress over my head. It was a full length white gown with straps that connected behind my neck. There was tool underneath to make the bottom a little bit fuller. Around my waist was diamond belt that my mom gave me that she wore in her wedding.

I clipped my veil into my hair and stepped back out into the suite. They stopped talking to look at me. Kelly and Ashley smiled at me and my mom and Hannah were on the verge of tears. That made my own eyes fill with tears. I pulled them into a group hug.

"I love you guys. It means the world to me that your here to celebrate this day with me."

My mom changed into her own dress which was the same color as the bridesmaids dresses but had a blazer to go on over it. We went outside and got into the limo that would take us to Central Park.

When we arrived my mom, Hannah, Kelly, and Ashley got out to get into their spots while I waited for my dad.
We met at the gate of the park. My dad had a black and white tuxedo on with a light pink tie to match my mom's dress. The bandages on his face came off over a month ago but you can still see a few of his scars. I pulled my dad in for a tight hug.

"I love you Dad."

"I love you too Heather."

He kissed my cheek and pulled the veil over my face. The processional music started and we started to walk towards the aisle.

When we turned the corner I saw Jack. His face lit up and he smiled at me.

'I love you.' He mouthed to me once we started walking towards him.

'I love you too.' I mouthed back.

Each step I took down the aisle was One Step Closer to him. One Step Closer to saying "I do." One Step Closer to the love of my life.
