Heather's POV

While I was talking with Jack I could tell he was nervous. I didn't know why, maybe he was nervous around me. Before my thoughts took over, a woman with a clipboard came out the door.

"Heather Adams." She called out.

As I started to stand up Jack grabbed my hand.

"Break a leg." He whispered

I couldn't stop smiling as I walked into the studio. I put my audition piece on the piano for the pianist. As the music started, I began to sing.

"I dreamed a dream in time gone by, when hope was high and life worth living. I dreamed that love would never die. I dreamed that God would be forgiving."

When the song ended they clapped and told me, "Thank you we will keep in touch."

When I walked back out into the lobby Jack handed me my bag.

"So how did it go?" He asked.

"I think it went well, they told me we would keep in touch."

He reached for my hand. "Heather, I don't know much about theatre but I think that means they liked you."

I couldn't help but smile. "I hope so." I thought.
