Chapter 9: Some Acceptances

Waking up and seeing Park Bo Young first thing and up close was something Seo In Guk never expected would happen. Nevertheless, it is most welcome. Especially since he's acknowledged the idea of missing her when she wasn't around.

In fact, he may have fallen asleep thinking how he should go about this matter. He was torn between telling her how he feels and not telling. And right now, with the proximity by which he and his co-star put themselves into, he most definitely found the answer he was looking for.

Giving her hand a light squeeze, he subtly sent her a signal about what he wanted to happen next. He looked at her eyes intently to ask her permission without articulating it. And in turn, he got an unspoken response.

In Guk no longer thought twice. He leaned more closely to her as he could, and softly pressed his lips against hers. The last thing he wanted to do is scare her.

I'll die anyway. What are my losses?

That's all what Bo Young thought when she got the signal Seo In Guk sent her. She decided, if she was going to permanently be gone, there's no need for her to worry about taking risks anymore. If anything, she should be as carefree as she could while she's still alive.

Why should I deny him of this? Why should I deny myself?

And so, communicating with him the way he communicated with her, she held his gaze with the same intensity he held hers. When he leaned to her to close the gap, she took what courage she had and met him half way. As soon as their lips touched, Bo Young knew, she made the right decision.

While In Guk knew he didn't want to scare her, he also knew he didn't want to immediately stop. So when he felt like she wasn't going to suddenly push him away, in case she figured she didn't really want what was happening, he placed his right hand on her nape and deepened the kiss. Even then, he is still being very careful.

As soon as Bo Young felt his hand lightly hold her head in place, she swore she felt goosebumps. The articles weren't wrong. He really is a good kisser. In fact, she thinks she's getting a bit jealous at the idea that he's pretty much already kissed all his former leading ladies like this.

Why did it take people too long to decide to pair us up?

She was so lost in her thoughts, that only brought her jealousy, that she was caught off guard when he stopped. In Guk almost laughed at her confused expression but managed to stop himself. He then rearranged himself on the couch from lying on it, to a sitting position. The booklet dropped on the floor. He will later get it.

He brushed a few strands of her hair and tucked them behind her ear. While keeping his hand on her face, he gave her a soft smile. There's no getting enough of this feeling, In Guk surmised.

With that in thought, he placed his other hand on her other cheek and kissed her again. She responded to him immediately, placing her left hand on the back of his neck. Her right hand found its place on his chest. In Guk couldn't help but smile in the kiss. This is probably the best morning he's had in years.

Of course, any action one does is tied to a consequence. The action they just did is no different. And the consequence it resulted into, is this awkward feeling they now both share.

Sure, the kissing was fun. But this, sitting across each other, and barely looking at each other, isn't. Bo Young is sure the food tastes nice. She just probably couldn't taste it properly due to embarrassment.
