Chapter 20: In Every Lifetime

Unknowingly, tears rolled down Park Bo Young's cheeks. More than the headache, she felt the sharp piercing on her heart. It was difficult to see Seo In Guk's crying face as he drowned himself in his grief of her passing.

Wait? I feel?

"She's going to wake up soon." said an unfamiliar voice.

Sure enough, Park Bo Young slowly opened her eyes. It was too bright for her liking but if anything, she's sure she's not dead yet. If the headache and overall body pain is any indicator of her being alive, then she is.

"Welcome back." Seo In Guk's smiling face greeted her.

Impossible. He should be in the same state as I am or worse.

"Myul...Mang?" Bo Young managed to say.

She watched as Seo In Guk and another man exchanged glances. The latter sporting a knowing smile. She has never seen him before. He's just slightly shorter than In Guk who she guesses is actually Myul Mang.

"Ya! Have you been roleplaying when I'm not around?" The unfamiliar man asked who she assumed is the physical manifestation of doom. She won't say it but it's kind of surprising to see anyone talk to Myul Mang that way.

Chuckling, the unfamiliar man turned his attention to Bo Young. He extended his hand to her but retracted, remembering she couldn't even push herself to sit. "That's not Myul Mang. I'm Myul Mang." He said, claiming the immortal's name.

"Is that how you really look like?" Bo Young asked. Seo In Guk helped her sit up. "Then, In Guk oppa?" She added, finally considering she might have just dreamt about everything and Seo In Guk is perfectly fine and standing next to her.

"No, this is just how you perceive me." Myul Mang said pointing at himself. "This," He added and paused.

Bo Young's eyes widened as the man who introduced himself as Myul Mang, changed his appearance before her. From the slightly shorter version of himself, he now, is taller by at least 5 inches more than In Guk.

He's also definitely 5 times more handsome than how she first saw him. His modern clothes were replaced by hanbok. And his durumagi looks like it's made of the finest silk. His once black hair turned white that sparkles here and there. Black flames seemed to hug his form.

"...is how I actually look like." He continued turning in place for her to see his overall look. "And that," He said pointing at Seo In Guk who she thought was Myul Mang. "...is Jacheongbi. Please, show yourself."

Although in obvious pain, Bo Young whipped her head back to Seo In Guk, or whoever he actually is. "I am not explaining to you." He said addressing Myul Mang and then he too changed appearance.

"Woah~" Bo Young couldn't help but utter. She covered her mouth quickly but the sound already escaped her. Before her now is an otherworldly beauty in scarlet clothing.

There shouldn't be anything that surprises her anymore, but considering this is the first time she ever saw anyone magically change appearance before her, it still takes time getting used to. This is probably how Seo In Guk felt before. It's undoubtedly overwhelming.

"In Guk oppa!" She said in a rather loud voice. In all of her confusion, she's just now remembering to ask about him.

"He's fine." The beautiful lady called Jacheongbi replied. "You are both alive." She added, tightening the grip she had on Bo Young's left shoulder. The actress was about to leave her hospital bed and Jacheongbi stopped her.
