Chapter 8: You a Werewolf

Bella and I drove to Jake's home. Bella knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Jacob's father at the door. "I need to see him," Bella said to him. "He's not in," he said to her. "I'm sorry but, I really need to see him," she said as she walked around his wheelchair. "Bella," he called out to her but, she didn't listen.

He looked at me. "I'm sorry. I don't know what she is thinking," I said to him. I turned around and waited on the stairs while the door closed. I heard noises towards the woods. I saw four guys walking towards the house.

Bella came rushing out of the house and made her way towards the guys. I walked after her. "Bella stop," I said to her but, she didn't listen to me. "What did you do?" she asked them. I knew that she was mad.

"What did you do?" she said and pushed the biggest guy in the group. I grabbed her arm. "Bella," I said her name. "He didn't want this," she said to them. "What did we do? What did he tell you?" another guy said.

"Both of you calm down," the biggest guy said to us. "Bella stop. This isn't going anywhere," I said to her but, she kept on going. "He tells me nothing because he's scared of you," Bella said to them. Two of the guys started to laugh a bit.

Bella slapped the guy who was laughing the most. I saw him looking at Bella with rage. "Bella," I said her name. I grabbed her arm and started to pull her a bit. I didn't like how the guy was looking at her. He was beyond angry and looked like he was going to go for blood.

"Bella get back," the biggest guy said to her. I pulled her arm more to get her to move back. "Paul. Calm down," the guy said to him. I could see the veins on his neck. Then, I saw him change into one of the big wolves.

He was growling at her. I could see fear in Bella's eyes. I didn't blame her. I was scared as well. Bella started to run away. I moved away slowly away from Paul's running path. "Bella" I heard Jake's voice. I turned my head to see Jake running toward Bella.

"Run. Jake Run!" Bella yelled at him. I saw Jake take a big leap and changed into a wolf as well. It was the same wolf that looked at Bella before running for Laurent. I stepped back a bit. Something was going to happen.

They growled at each other to the point where they started to fight each other. They fought into the woods. I saw two guys walking up to Bella and pulling her on her feet. "Hey take Bella and her friend back to Emily's place," I heard the biggest guy said.

I walked over to Bella to see if she was okay. We got into Bella's truck and drove off to a small house. Bella wanted to go back to see Jacob is okay. They told her not to worry. They were more amazed about who was better.

Turned out the biggest guy's name was Sam and this was his fiancee's house. One of the guys warned us to not stare at his fiancee. We walked inside to meet with Emily. She had scar on her face. {How did that happen?} We walked inside to see the fiancee.

"Who are they?" a girl asked. "Bella Swan and ..." one of the guys started to say. "Beverly. Beverly Melrone," I said to them. "Hm..so your are the vampire girls," she said to us. "So you're the wolf girl," Bella said to her.

"I guess so. Well...an engaged one," she said as she set the muffins on the table. "Save some for your brothers and ladies first. Muffin?" she said to the guys and looked at us. "Sure," Bella said and reached for one. I walked over and took a muffin myself.

They talked about how Sam was the alpha and Jacob had to listen to his orders. It was a wolf thing they say. After a while, Sam appeared into the room. I turned my head towards the door to see Jacob and Paul walking into the room. Paul apologized to Bella.

We walked with Jacob towards the beach. We hadn't spoken a word since we left the house. Once on the beach, Bella decided to say something. "So you're a werewolf," Bella finally said to him. "Yeah. The last time I checked," he said to us.

"A few lucky members of the tribe have the gene. Bloodsucker move into town. And the fever set in," he explained to us. "Well can't you find a way to stop?" she asked him. "It's not a lifestyle Bella. I was born this way. I can't help it. You're such a hypocrite. What I'm not the right kind of monster for you," he said to her.

"It's not what you are. It's what you do. They never hurt anybody. You've killed people Jake," she said to him. I knew what she had been referring to. "Bella. We're not killing anyone," he cut her off. "Then who is?" she asked him.

"What we are trying to protect you people from. The only thing we do kill. Vampires," he said to her. "Jake you can't," she stared to say. "Don't worry we can't touch your precious Cullens unless they violate the treaty," he said to her.

"It's not what I'm saying. You can't kill vampires. They'll kill you," she said to him. It didn't phase him. "Really. We took out that dreads easy enough," he said to us. "You mean Laurent?" I said to him. "His redheaded girlfriend is next," he said to me.

"Victoria is here?" Bella asked him. "Was. We chased her all the way to the Canadian Border the other night. She keeps coming back. "We don't know whats she's after," he said to her. "I do. Me," Bella said to him. I saw the concern in his eyes.

Bella dropped me off home. I walked inside the apartment to my room. I walked over to my desk to look at my laptop. I saw an email from my little niece and nephew. They said that they missed me very much.

I looked at my other emails. I haven't gotten any emails from the Cullens. I really missed Jasper. I knew that he was taking care of me with his things like his credit card and the car. Sometimes, I wished that he was here at these kinds of times.

Sometimes, it was a bit overwhelming to help Bella through this.
