It was the best time of my life

Chapter 1

I finish unpacking my stuff at long last. It's been a crazy month! I found out exactly one month ago that I'd been accepted to one of the best music colleges in America, to study music production and now here I am, waiting to meet my roommate. It's more like a small flat actually with 2 bedrooms, a tiny kitchen and a small lounge. Not bad for a small town girl from Anglesey. More of a village actually. I sigh as I glance around, making sure everything is neat and tidy, which for me is a miracle. I don't expect my room to be like this in a few days so I might as well admire it now. I've been told my roommate is called Toni and will be arriving tomorrow. I head down to the cafeteria for some lunch and decide to take a walk around the city of San Diego. I know not to stray too far incase I get lost but everything is so beautiful. The shops are huge and I pass a music shop only a few minutes into my walk. My instinct drags me over and I see a sign in the window advertising for staff. Fate. It has to be. I go in and ask about the job and although I don't have a CV with me, I tell them I can email one later if they desire. I tell them I'm a student at the college and I'm studying music production and already have a degree in music so I know my way around most instruments. And that I also have experience as a music technician due to my dad owning a small recording studio in Holyhead. The manager already seems pretty impressed and asks me if I'm free tomorrow for a trial shift. I nod, grinning at her and agree to come in for 10am. I tell her when I get my schedule in a couple of days I'll be able to let her know when I'm free to work and she smiles, telling me that would be perfect. I shake her hand and continue on my way to wherever it is my feet seem to be taking me on my mini adventure. I can't stop smiling. It had always been my dream to come to the States and now it's come true I could scream with happiness.
