Follow me for more (:"You're gonna tell him, right?" Gaby asked, grabbing a few things from her locker. I sighed, shutting mine.
"Yeah, I have to... I just hope he understands why I can't come."
She shrugged, "Well he didn't say the party was important did he?"
I bit my lip as we began walking to class. "No but he did say that he really wants me to be there." I sighed, furrowing my eyebrows. "Maybe I could sneak out after dad and I get home."
She chuckled, "Iris, you know how exhausted you are every year after that excruciatingly long day with dad."
I groaned, she's absolutely right. My father made a vow that we would participate in every single activity they had at the function. And there were a lot!
I normally pass out in the car on our wav home. There's no way I'Il be able to go with my dad and attend Jason's party.
"He'll just have to understand, I'll go to the next one." I whispered, sitting down in my seat.
She nodded, "I'm sure he will."
I frowned, walking into the cafeteria. I haven't seen Jason all day, where is he?
"Iris."
I looked up and saw Ryan making his way over to me. I raised my eyebrows. "Hey, Ryan."
He smiled, "Um.. Jason texted me." He held up his phone. "he wants you to meet him outside."
I furrowed my eyebrows before nodding my head "Okay."
He nodded and I turned around, walking out and towards the front doors. I walked outside, the wind making me stumble but I was caught by two strong arms before I could fall.
"Woah, there. Careful, baby girl."
I smiled, quickly wrapping my arms around his neck, engulfing him in a hug. He chuckled, picking me up and holding me close before walking down the front steps and to our bench.
He sat down with me straddling him. I finally pulled back a little to look at him and he kissed my lips softly, his hand on the side of my neck, his finger stroking my jawline. He pulled back and smiled at me, whispering "Hey."
I pouted out my bottom lip, fiddling with the zipper on his jacket. "Where have you been? I didn't see you in school."
He sighed, tightening his grip around me. "I'm sorry, baby, I have a lot of work to do, I just came to see you for a little bit but I can't stay for school."
I frowned, "Oh."
Should I tell him now? I'm so afraid he's gonna get angry at me again.
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, licking his lips. "Do you want me to come and pick you up after school?"
I gave him a small smile and shook my head, "No, that's okay, you finish your work. I don't wanna disturb you." I sighed, running my hands through my hair "And besides, I have to stay an hour after school anyway."
