Five's POV
"If we hurry we can still save her-" Diego said.
"I-I'm sorry- I should have listened. Five- pl-please don't be angry-" Vanya cried, afraid he'd treat her how Luther treated her when Alison got hurt.
Five's eyes widened. She snapped her out of it... (Yn) just- "I'm not angry..." He responded softly.
"Five come on, we need to-" Luther starts.
Five blinks to the nearest hospital. "Help! Please! She was shot and is loosing a lot of blood! Please!" He called desperately.
Several doctors and nurses came rushing in, they took her from him despite his protests and they wheeled her off to emergency surgery.
Five only watched helplessly as they took her away. Please live...
Author's POV
Flashback
Five was gone, and Ben was dead. (Yn)'s life since had been nothing but stress and exhaustion as she tried to keep a brave face for her friends. Currently, the only person (Yn) talked to out of the other children was Vanya.
"(Yn), dear are you alright?" The calming voice of Grace asked softly as (Yn) sat at the table by herself once again.
She looks at Grace, tears filling her eyes. "I miss them, Grace..."
Grace looked at her sympathetically. "I know you do, but the others miss them just as much."
"I-I should have done something. I-I knew something about that mission was off but-"
"Blaming yourself won't change the past, (Yn)... It hurts, I understand, but you need to move on."
"B-But I could have done something-" She cried, looking at Grace.
"Some things are meant to be... they're not always what we wish they could be but... we can't change them... we can't change the past..."
"B-But- what if I could! Wh-What if I used Five's power to-"
"Enough of that talk, Number Eight." Reginald said, interrupting (Yn)'s conversation with Grace. "Time to resume your training."
"Yes Sir..."
Flashback End
Five's POV
The rest of Five's family arrived at the hospital.
'Where is she?' Alison wrote.
"They took her into surgery..." Five responded softly, taking a seat in the waiting room. He puts his face in his hands.
His siblings join him in sitting down.
"I'm... sorry..." Vanya said softly.
"It's not your fault..." Five responded.
"But-"
"She has always... always know you were special, Vanya... whether or not she knew just how special..." Five looked at her.
Vanya smiled a little. "She always did make me believe I was more than ordinary..."
Five smiled softly then turned to look at the floor. "She's just... always had this way of knowing how to help people..." He laughs a little. "Maybe her power was Empathy..." He joked, but the more he thought about it the more it made sense.
