Writer's Block

It's quite funny
when you have the strongest urge to write
and yet your mind is as blank as a painter's canvas.

When you are searching for a drop of rain
amongst endless clouds
of pure white blankness.

So you look for inspiration everywhere.
Other artist's works
from movies to music to little things said in small talk.

And then you realize
it's not about the topic of your work.
It's about making people feel...something.

Write about pain
so people can relate.

Write abut happiness
so people can share in your rejoicing.

Write about stress
so people can offer their support.

Write about your crazy best friends
so people are compelled to be that for others
and cherish the ones who are that to them.

So...in summary
writer's block is temporary.
Instead, focus on just making a positive difference
in the lives of people everywhere.
And, bottom line, never stop writing.
