It's been several days since that incident with you and Mr. Hwang. He's been visiting the ship often and you subconsciously kept away from. The words and thoughts of 'Kill him' and 'You know what he's done to you' kept replaying in your mind. Not knowing the meaning behind them scared you, but kept you curious.
You sat there against the wall in your cabin as you traced over the symbols carved into your sword. "Master? Is everything okay?" It asked you. You sighed as you shook your head. "That man out there...I have a bad feeling about him." You said as you looked down at the weapon before you. The face slowly fading into view; though still disoriented.
"Mr. Hwang...right?" It asked as you slowly nodded your head as you confirmed. "It can't be..." You heard your sword say as you furrowed your brow. "Huh? What is it?" You asked, concerned, wondering what's wrong. "Tell me!" You asked as you set your sword against your wall. "I-I can't, I have to go," It said as it slowly disappeared as soon as it appeared.
You groaned as you stood up and walked to your door. You placed your hand on the handle to put your door and walk out to get fresh air, though stopped in your tracks as you heard his voice. "Hongjoong, you know having a female onboard is bad luck," Kangdae said outside of your door.
"Kangdae, Ji Ah brought us all good luck and fortune. If anything, she's as useful as Jongho is," He said, defending you. "You shouldn't trust her though, who knows what she really is," He said, shivers running down your spine as he doubts you being a human.
He knows what you are.
You shut your eyes tightly as you shook the thoughts away. I'm human. What are you talking about!? You said to the thought, yet, no reply. You sighed as you continued to eavesdrop on their conversation. "Hwang Kangdae, do not speak badly of one of my crew mates if you do not want to be keelhauled," Hongjoong said as he grew irritated with the much older man.
"She has been keeping distance from almost all of us ever since she met you, do you honestly not know her?" Hongjoong asked, you could already imagine what he looks like. Arms crossed, as he knitted his brow as he glared at the other with his singular light blue eye. "Like what as I said in the past few times you asked, I don't." He responded.
You sighed as you quickly opened your door as the two looked at you. "Ji Ah, you're awake," You heard Hongjoong say as his tone quickly changed. He sounded warm and kind as he spoke instead of emotionless like he did a few seconds ago to Kangdae.
"Mhm," You simply replied as all you wanted to do was get away from them and outside to get fresh air. You grabbed the handle to leave the sickbay as you opened the door, seeing that the sun is just now rising. You walked out as you heard Hongjoong sigh behind you just as the sickbay door closed.
You walked across the main deck as you breathed in the fresh air. Your nerves slowly calmed back down as you continued to walk on the main deck as you felt a soft breeze blow across. The sound of birds chirping their morning tunes, rustling of leaves against the wind with the sound of the ocean filled your ears.
As everything was relaxing you got disturbed by your name being called. You groaned as you turned to the direction of it. "Ji Ah, you're up," He smiled as you raised an eyebrow. "Jongho? What's the matter?" You asked as he doesn't really talk to you unless it's important to do so. "Nothing, just a surprise to see you, just came out." He said as he stood in front of you. "Yunho hyung should be coming out soon." He said as he crossed his arms as he studied your features.
"Is everything alright with you?" He asked, making you look down at the deck and your shoes. "I don't know..." You shrugged your shoulders before slowly looking back at him. "I don't feel safe here anymore, Jongho." You told him honestly as his face almost immediately frowned at your reply. "Why? Is it because of the old man on board? I understand, I felt the same way before too, but you'll get used to him." He tried comforting you as you only shook your head, his words not helping you.
"Not like that, Jongho, I mean..I think I know him," You said to him as Jongho looked at you surprised. "What do you mean? Like...your past?" He asked as you slowly nodded your head. "That's the only thing I can remember from my past." You added as Jongho dropped his hands to his side. "How about me, you and Yunho hyung go out to town? Leave the ship, and Kangdae here?" He suggested.
A small smile formed on your face as you once again nodded your head. "Jongho, Ji Ah!" You heard someone call out for the both of you. You looked behind him as he turned around. "Ah! Yunho hyung, we were just talking about you," Jongho said as the older male approached the both of you. "Oh really? I knew someone was talking about me," He chuckled as you both joined in with him.
"What's wrong then?" He asked as you shook your head. "Nothing bad, we just decided to go out to town until everyone else wakes up," You told him and he hummed at your words. "Alright, then shall we head out now?" Yunho asked as he swung his arms around you both as he lowered himself to be around the same height as you both.
You and Jongho nodded your heads as you all made your way across the main deck to the gangplank down to the harbour to town. "So, what are we going to get?" Yunho asked as Jongho was leading the way with you in the middle of them both. "I was thinking that we would get something to eat since Seonghwa hyung is still fast asleep," Jongho suggested to the both of you. "Oh! Could we get lamingtons?" You excitedly said. "I haven't had one since I was back at Ironforge!" You added as a big smile was plastered on your face.
"Alright, follow me. I shall lead the way," Jongho spoke as he looked around for an easier and quicker path to go. "Hey Ji Ah, have you been doing alright?" Yunho asked to keep you two occupied as Jongho was too busy in his own world. "Huh?" You raised an eyebrow as you looked over at you. "What do you mean, oppa?" You asked him.
He then turned his gaze over to you as he knitted his brows together. "You should know what I'm talking about, Ji Ah," He said as he shook his head as he chuckled lightly. "You haven't really been out of your cabin in a while, we all noticed," He frowned. "We're worried about you," He said as you could hear the worry in his tone.
You shrugged your shoulders. "I don't know...that Kangdae guy, I still don't like him. He gives me these weird auras, oppa," You told Yunho as he slowly nodded his head as he understood what you meant as he looked away. "You have to eat to stay strong," He said as he wrapped his arm around you. You scoffed as you pushed him away.
"I know, I know, it's just I can't with that dude around, I have a bad feeling about him..." You told him as you shrug your shoulders. Yunho opened his mouth to reply but got cut off as you both heard Jongho. "It's over here you guys! Hurry y'all asses up!" He yelled out for you guys.
"How about I take care of it later? Get everything worked out with the captain?" He suggested, as you kept quiet for a moment. What could they possibly do? Ban him or somethin'? You thought before responding back to Yunho. "I guess so, oppa. Just..." You sighed as you shook your head.
"Nevermind, let's just go and eat. I'm starving." You said as Yunho chuckled before wrapping his arm around your shoulder. "Alright, let's go eat! Gotta stay strong!" He chuckled as you smiled widely before catching up to Jongho before entering.
You need to kill him...before it's too late.
