Demelza and Ross lay in bed after they put Jeremy down. Ross said, "God I hope they don't let that woman out of Prison. She is a plague on society." "I guess if they leave her out, I will have to be very careful not to let the children out of my site," Demelza said. "I am still going to see Ray Pendvenon and Truverance to see If they can stop the process. Jeremy is still dramatized by that whole episode," Ross said worriedly. The he added "if he knows she is around I worry for his mental stability, he has been so resilient.

Demelza changed the subject, what do you think about Caroline and I putting together a group of women to help with what is needed to help the poorer community to thrive. I was Thinking Jenny, Verity, Caroline, and I would be a good start. Varity and Caroline are in tune with the higher society, Jenny, and I with the lower class. Ross said, "maybe Captain Henshaw's wife, she is in between classes like you, the two of you could do a great deal of good." Maybe I could set up a meeting next week with the five of us, I will have it here. Ross rolled toward her, "just don't take on too much. Our little friend needs you to rest as much as possible. She pulled him in for a kiss, "our little friend will be my first priority. Ross said do you feel like a little amorous congress. Demelza laughed saying, "don't go saying that around Jeremy or the ladies next week my wonder what we have been up to. Ross laughed his wonderful belly laugh and said, "he does have a habit of picking up foul language, must be from your side." Demelza slapped his arm, "mayhap from urns." They both giggled as they proceed to do the amorous congress.

The next morning Demelza sent out letters one to each of the ladies her and Ross talked of getting involved. Ross said, he would talk to Henshaw so he knew to discuss with his wife, if she should be involved. Ross came home at lunch to hear Jeremy and Demelza in a battle of sorts. Demelza was trying to get him to eat piece of rabbit and Jeremy was out right refusing. He told his mother; she was a murderer just like Lizard." Demelza hormones kicked in, she started to cry, Jeremy who was not use to seeing his mother so vexed felt bad, then he too started to cry. Ross walked in Demelza rushed out, Jeremy said, "I's sorry Pappa, I didn't mean it." Ross said, "what didn't you mean Jeremy?" Ross had heard but he wanted Jeremy to tell him. "That Momma is a murderher like Lizard," Jeremy cried. Ross picked him up and said, "let's go find Momma and tell her is that alright?" Jeremy nodded. Ross went up to there room Demelza was sitting crying looking out the window. She put her arms out for Jeremy to come to her. He put his head on her shoulder crying, "I's sorry Momma, you are not a murder." Demelza said, "I am sorry to my lover forgive Momma, but if you want to grow up big and strong like Pappa you must eat meat." You know Momma would not make you do something that was wrong." Jeremy nodded. Ross came over and kissed, Jeremy as he took him off Demelza. To Demelza he said, "my love are you alright?" She nodded, "I guess being compared to her just set off my hormones."

Jeremy said, "you nofin like Lizard, she is bad, ugly, and mean. Pappa needs to make her go away forever." Ross said, "Jeremy how would like to go for a ride with me today on Darkie?" Jeremy said, "can I hold the reigns?" Ross said, "well for a while" Jeremy put his fist in the air bent his elbow and pulled down like he was tugging on a rope. Demelza giggled, and Ross chuckled. He said," I am thinking of taking him to Pendvenon's is there anything you need?" Just for my little boy to finish his lunch, Jeremy smiled sheepishly at his mother and said, "I will eat it all, even if it makes me sick." Ross left out a loud laugh and said, "your mother is one of the best cooks around her food would never make you sick." Jeremy shrugged, "but the rabbit may." Ross said, "you are a little bit stubborn like your momma." Demelza in return said, "no a little stubborn like your pappa." Jeremy put his hands out to stop the conversation and said, "I be stubbren like both yous." His parents laughing then Ross said, "god help us!"  Jeremy gasp, "momma gets to punish you now." Then to Demelza he said, "can I watch."  His parents both in unison said "NO."
