Ross took Julia downstairs she was squirming so he changed her and decided maybe a trip to the beach would settle her down. Jeremy seeing his father had his sister asked, "where are taking my sissy?" Ross said, "Jeremy where on earth did you come up with that." "Grandma Melza said she was my sister so I can call her Sissy," Jeremy told him while shrugging his shoulders. Ross hated when Jeremy said he was talking to dead people it gave him the shivers. Ross told Jeremy he was taking Julia Damsels' point to see the ocean. He asked if Jeremy would like to come with them? Jeremy was excited that Ross was going to take him. He asked his father if they were going to take the horses. Ross laughed at that, saying that Julia can't ride a horse yet. Jeremy was giving up though he told his father that he could hold Sissy while he rode his own horse. Ross ruffled his hair informing him this is one trip they will take on foot. He held his son's hand on one side and his daughter in his arms. He thought I never got this moment with Jeremy and how much he missed his son's life. All because he was stupid pining for Elizabeth and then chasing Demelza away. He looked down at his son lovingly he was sorry for all the suffering and hurt this little boy went through. Yet he was still a loving beautiful soul just like his mother. Jeremy looked up at his father, "Pappa, I's tired." Ross stooped down and pick his son up in one arm. Jeremy said, "Pappa you must be strong to hold us both." Then he put his finger to his lips and said, "shush Sissy is sleeping." Ross looked down and he thought what beautiful children he and his wife made.

Once they reached the rock that looked out over the sea, Jeremy said, "wow it retty, look Pappa it a boat. Is tey catchin fish? Ross chuckled, "Jeremy slow down when you speak you miss have the words." Jeremy replied, "naha, Poppy tellin me you were worse." Ross noticed he spoke slower that time. Ross thought maybe I should have him ask Poppy how he cured me. Jeremy spoke again, "Poppy say I's grow out of it." Ross was thinking he shouldn't encourage the boy. Jeremy gasped, "Poppy say bleedy hell, you stupid Pappa. Momma gonna punish you Poppy huh Pappa." Ross said, "you don't say bleedy hell that is another bad word." Jeremy sighed, "but Poppy tells me. Why are there so many bad words?" Ross chuckled and told his son to keep little boys from saying things that should not be said. Jeremy asked his father who put the rocks that they were standing on there. Then he asked how come the men fish in the boats, why don't they swim to the shore and fish. How come you cannot see Poppy he is standing looking at my sister. Jeremy said, "Poppy said, she is beautiful, you should make more." Ross chocked he said, "come on we must take Sissy home to your mother." Jeremy said, "she stays with Momma because she is a irl and I am a boy." Ross thought I better nip that in the butt. "no Jeremy that is not it. Sissy depends on Momma to feed ad take care of her. When you were little, you depended more on Momma, now you are bigger you can do more with Pappa." Jeremy had a thoughtful look on his face, after a while he said, "you right I's bigger I's can ride a horse Sissy can't.

They walked back to Nampara Ross carried, both children. Jeremy put his on-Ross's shoulder and closed his eyes. Ross thought he must have been asleep before his head missed his shoulder. Ross thought I feel like a king with these two in my arms. He looked at Jeremy, he looked so much like Ross that there was no doubt whose child he was. He looked at Julia or Sissy as Jeremy called her. So far, she looked like she may favor Demelza, Ross thought he hoped she did because then he would have the most beautiful daughter. Although thinking about it no matter what she looked like she would be beautiful to him.

He walked into the house and Purdie was helping Demelza down the stairs, Ross gave the black looks he had not forgotten her being drunk the night before. He quietly said, "Demelza why are you up." Demelza glared at him, "will you be getting breakfast for you or Jeremy." Ross said, "Purdie go to Mellon and ask Jenny if she can come in. You may also want to get another position lined up. Ross said, "go lay in Father's old room I will bring the children into you." Demelza said, "Ross there be work to do, I can't lay about." Ross sighed, "you have just given birth and it was not an easy one. Dwight said, "you are to stay in bed for at least a week." Demelza grimaced, "I can not lay about for a week I will give you today and tomorrow." Ross chuckled, "it is funny you think this is negotiable. A week and not a day less." Demelza lay down she was in pain and she welcomed the bed. He handed Julia off first, then place Jeremy on the bed to take his shoes off. Jeremy has taken to calling her Sissy. He said my father told him to call her that." Demelza was thoughtful for a minute, "I had hoped he had grown out of it. We just have to be patient with him. He is getting this information from somewhere. There was a knock at the front door, Demelza had just started to feed the baby since she was starting to fuss. Ross asked her if she was going to be okay. Demelza gave him a look that said why would I not be. A few seconds later Verity came in.
