They were making their way home from the appeal after seeing Elizabeth, Demelza asked Ross if he was alright with the way it turned out? He thought for a moment then he said, "I do think if she would be left out early, she would try again to hurt you and our children. Since Geoffrey Charles is gone, she is resentful of our children. Demelza said, what kind of person resents children for being alive. Ross hugs his wife tighter to him. "A very sick one that has no notion what compassion is, my love." Jeremy was talking as always about a mile a minute. Dwight and Jeremy were eating apples, Jeremy said, "don't eat no eeds." Dwight asked "why?" Jeremy sighed, "Cause ews get baby in your belly." Dwight choked. Ross smirked at Demelza. Dwight said, "Jeremy where did you hear that." "Pappa said, He give momma a seed and it turned into a baby." It was Ross's turn to turn red. Jeremy said, "I s tought you a doctor?" Jeremy shook his head, "yews sould know tis." All three adults started to laugh. Jeremy didn't know what was so funny, he always thought Uncle Dwight was smart, but he guess he didn't know everything.

After they got home Demelza told Ross she and Jeremy was going to the cemetery plant flowers on his parents graves. Ross said, "what of your mothers do you want to do hers also, I will take you?" "I don't think I could find it; father would never put a stone in it, and I was so young that I have no idea where she be laid." Ross felt sorry for the life his wife had led, he knew her life was hard, he wondered how she turned out so loving? He thought it had to be from her mother, her father was a son of bitch who beat women. "What if we make a flower bed specifically set aside for your mother?" She said, "there is no need. I put it in with your mother and father."

Ross said, "I notice Jeremy talk is less then perfect when he is excited." Jeremy responds, "I excited, I take Captain to see the graves?" Ross felt bad Jeremy could not ride without someone near on foot. "Jeremy how about Pappa goes with you and Mamma to see grandma and grandpa?" Jeremy eagerly nodded his head, "but they are just them graves they not there. They are with you, momma and me all time."

When they got home Demelza was gathering the flowers she wanted to plant she stood up and rubbed her back. She was five months forward, bending and twisting caused her some pains she was not used to. Ross saw her rubbing her back and rushed forward, "my love, why did you not call me I would have gathered those for you." Demelza smiled, "I am fine I cannot sit still for four more months I must be about and doing." Ross responded to her, "Well, if it is causing you discomfort then I must insist that you not do it. The little one is our main priority. I only wish I were there to make it easier on you with Jeremy."

Jeremy hearing this said, "momma did ou eat a eed, is hat how I was ade? Who gave ou eeds?" Demelza blushed and looked at Ross who smirked. Then Ross said, "I gave momma the seed for you, I be your Pappa to." Jeremy thought a moment said, "but Momma not live here wit you? Demelza said, "I thought Pappa was mad at me. I didn't know he wanted us." Ross spoke up, "But I did want you both more then anyone knew." Ross then bent down pick Jeremy up kissed his forehead then said, "I love you, momma, and the new babe. I can't promise I wont give her no more seeds if get more children like you." Jeremy sighed in resignations then responded, "but the eeds make her ick!" Demelza said, "if I get more children like you it is worth it." Jeremy threw his hands up shook his head and sighed, grownups he thought.

Ross let Jeremy Ride his pony to the cemetery Ross was walking beside letting Jeremy guide the horse with is body. Garrick was walking in between Ross and Demelza. Garrick started to growl; Ross instinctively grabs for Captain. Out of the woods walk two young men. As they walk Demelza runs to them, Ross yells "Demelza!" She grabs the youngest first and hugs him tightly and the other. She turns to Ross and tells him, "my brothers, Sam and Drake." Ross eyes them wearily. Then Drake walks toward Jeremy, "this be your boy sister?" Ross said, "our boy." Drake said, "I am sorry I know not your name?" Demelza speaks up Captain Ross Poldark? Sam said, "he be the one, the man you would not name to our father?" Demelza nodded. Demelza told Ross, "this be Sam who helped me escape my father that day." Ross said, "I am much obliged to you but wish you would have come with her, she was in shape to travel by herself." Sam said, "if n I left father would surely have followed, I could not risk her life." Ross nodded his head.
