all they did was run and hide. langa was running at the moment, smacking his feet on the floor because he thought he heard twigs snap.

"go, go, go!" langa whispered to miya and koyomi so they started running. they ran for a few seconds until miya turned right.

"there! quick!" miya pointed and everyone nodded their heads and they ran to a part where there was an indent in the floor and they would be covered. kind of like a ditch.

they all ran into the ditch and they dropped their bags and laid on the floor. langa then motioned for them to stay down.

langa then peeked his head above the ground and looked to see if anyone was behind them. it didn't seem like it so he leaned back against the ground and sighed.

it's day three in the woods. you would think that the people who worked for koji would give up but no. they're being followed all over these woods.

these kids don't know anything about direction since they've been castaway for so long. langa just gave them a look and nodded. coast was clear.

"i'm going for a walk." koyomi said and got up with the leafs crunching under her.

"hey hey-"

"no. im going for a walk." koyomi interrupted langa and walked off into the trees. langa looked at miya and miya shrugged his shoulders.

"i would go with her but, she hates me too." miya said as he laid on the floor and crossed his arms over his chest. langa looked away and sighed.

everyone was dealing with the loss of reki differently. miya would cry during his sleep and koyomi was angry all the time and sometimes she had crying fits. then sometimes she would just turn emotionless. langa. he wasn't dealing with it. he didn't have time to grieve. he had to take care of everyone. he had to take care of koyomi. for reki.

so whenever he felt like he wanted to get emotional, he would do something to distract him. he didn't want to feel any emotions right now because he had two lives in his hands. he couldn't afford to break down and start grieving, no matter how much he wanted to. he did that the night reki died and it almost got them all killed.

langa began getting emotional so he blinked really fast and reached into his bag that had the food.

"okay it's time to snack." langa said and miya looked at him and shook his head.

"not hungry." miya said and langa gave him a look.

"miya." langa said and miya stayed silent. "that's what you said yesterday." langa said and miya looked at him.

"i'm really not-"

another twig snapping cut miya off and immediately both were on their toes. langa slowly zipped up his bag and slung it on his shoulders. miya grabbed reki's bag, which was now koyomi's, and slung it around his neck since his own was already slung around his shoulders.

"i knew someone was following us." langa whispered and looked back at miya. miya was about to check but langa grabbed him and dragged him down. miya gave him a look and langa shook his head

"you know i do the observing." langa whispered again and miya just nodded. he didn't want to start an argument right now.

langa then nodded back and langa slowly peeked out from the ditch. he saw someone dressed in all black holding a big rifle. langa immediately dropped his head down and looked at miya.

"what? what?" miya asked and langa bit his lip.

"we have to get to koyomi, now." langa said and miya looked in the direction that koyomi walked off but didn't see her.
