Peggy and Bucky sneak out of the bar, being watchful of guards. But as soon as they step foot outside they're greeted with a fight, very nearly a massacre. Steve was up their fighting two men at once, Dum Dum fought a guard smaller than him but much faster. The other Commando crew mates were fighting as well.

Bucky sends a glance at Peggy before joining in the fight.

Steve looks at Bucky, raising an eyebrow as they fought two guards side by side.

"Took you long enough, jerk." Steve shouts over the din of yelling men and clashing blades.

Bucky grins and ducks a slice from a sword.

"Punk!" He retorts, Steve whirls around and cracks the butt of his sword on the guards' head. Well, the guard he was against, anyway. He didn't know it but he looked cool right there, Bucky thought.

He goes to duck another sword slice but his left arm takes the blow, he screams in agony and clutches at the bleeding stump that's now his left arm. It had been cut off at just underneath the shoulder, and it ws bleeding heavily. His vision was blurring but he slashes with his sword in his right hand and cuts the guards' stomach, blood sprays and he blanches, already pale as it is. Steve tries to get to the brunette as he collapses to the ground, but he's surrounded by fighting men, doing all he can to merely stay alive.

"Bucky!" Steve yells, trying to get through the blockade of men and to the bleeding brunette.

Bucky's vision fades as pain spikes through his shoulder. He moans and goes limp, Monty was the closest to him so he can hurry to help him, which he does.

Most of the guards get dealt with, until other guards come and take their place. It was horrible, and took forever. While during a rest from the fight, Bucky got taken care of. Steve was super worried about him, which was obviously to be expected. It was a clean cut, but it meant that Bucky had to get a hook, or something. He would be missing a proper arm for the rest of his life.

Bucky moans and his eyes flicker open, this was after they had found a somewhat safe spot. This was also after when Bucky had something fit to his shoulder, so far a crude metal clasping, holding a metal arm on. At the end was a rusty hook, there hadn't been enough time to make it proper, not enough time to make a proper metal hand.

Bucky blinks down at his left arm and his pulse instantly quickens, nearly panicking.

"S... Steve." Bucky whimpers, breathing heavy. This was new, and new was strange to him.

"Steve!" Bucky whines when Steve hasn't come yet. He relaxes only slightly when Steve comes running down the stairs of the dimly lit room that Bucky was resting in.

"Oh, god, Steve my arm! My arm!" Bucky cries, reaching out for Steve with his right arm.

"Shh, Buck. You're gonna be okay, calm down." Steve whispers, kneeling beside the frightened brunette on a mat on the ground. He comforts Bucky and whispers soothingly to him.

"What am I now? I have a hook, Steve, a _______ hook!" He sobs into Steve's shirt, the blonde kept a gentle arm around Bucky's shoulders. Steve's head jerks upwards when he hears pounding and yells on the door. The guards had found them and were trying to get in.

"Don't you dare question yourself, Buck. You're still beautiful, just a little different." Steve soothes, smoothing back Bucky's hair out of his face. After what feels like forever Steve has to go and join the Commando crew as they fight to keep the guards out. Bucky had mainly calmed down at this point, he just stares numbly at his left arm, kind of marveling at how it whirred and clicked as he moved it. Not bad technology for their century. But Bucky still didn't like it, it was alien to him and made him feel less than human. Like a monster.
