Yosuga's jaw clenched as fog suddenly formed around them. It became a bit more of a chore to see their surroundings. She heard swishing water.

"He's there!" Naruto shouted.

"He is... on top of water?" Yosuga's eyes flickered to the source of the sound of water. There, Zabuza was poised on top of the surface of the lake. She could practically feel the chakra embedded in it.

"Mist concealment." His voice sounded, and he disappeared.

"He disappeared!" Naruto exclaimed. Kakashi walked in front of them.

"He'll try to eliminate me first, but..." He trailed off.

"Zabuza Momochi of the Hidden Mist village." Yosuga mumbled. "I've heard about him. He is known for his silent killing techniques."

"Silent?"  Naruto asked. Kakashi nodded.

"Just as the name implies, it's a killing technique that's executed in a flash and carried out in absolute silence." Kakashi explained further.

"Which means it's possible that you'll be dead before you even realize it." Yosuga finished, tightening her grip on her kunai. What she had said made the atmosphere even more tense. Even though she kept her cool on the outside, her heart was banging painfully against her chest and her mind was swimming with various thoughts of what the outcome could be. She would be lying if she said she wasn't scared.

"But, if you fail, you're only going to die." Kakashi spoke nonchalantly. Yosuga nodded her head in understanding, despite no one looking at her.

"How can you be so nonchalant about that!?" Sakura yelled.

"The fog is getting thicker!" Naruto remarked.

"The Country of Waves is surrounded by the ocean, so mist often emerges." Tazuna replied. The mist got even thicker, making it borderline impossible to see. Yosuga soon was not able to see Kakashi in front of her. Instead of straining her eyes, trying to squint, she closed them and took a breath. She wasn't all that good at maneuvering without her sight, but she wasn't totally useless without her eyes. She just had to focus.

"Eight points." A voice rang in her ears. "The larynx, spine, lungs, liver, jugular, vein, collarbone, kidney, and heart. Now, which vital organ do you want to get struck at?"

Yosuga pursed her lips as there was a long, deathly silence. Ignoring the fact that neither your spine nor your collarbone were organs, she opened her eyes, feeling wind, to find that the fog had cleared up. Movement was caught in her peripheral vision as she looked around, finding Sasuke holding his kunai pointed in his own direction. Furrowing her eyebrows, Yosuga placed a hand on his shoulder, to which he snapped his head to her. His fearful eyes locked on to her calm ones as she gave him a stern look.

"Sasuke." Sasuke snapped his head to Kakashi. "Don't worry. I'll protect the four of you with my life. I won't let anyone on my team die." He gave Sasuke what one could only assume was a reassuring smile.

"I don't know about that." Zabuza's voice cut through the air as he appeared behind the four genin and in front of Tazuna. Anything that might have come out of Yosuga's mouth was caught in her throat as she half-turned to see him. "This is the end."

Kakashi dashed foreward to stab Zabuza in the gut as the four genin and Tazuna quickly moved away. Water spilled onto the floor from the wound in Zabuza's abdomen. A water clone. Another Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi, cutting right through him, but Kakashi turned out to be a water clone as well. Kakashi then appeared behind Zabuza.

"Don't move." Kakashi spoke, his voice as sharp as the knife he held to Zabuza's neck. "This is the end."

Yosuga let out a small sigh as a barely noticeable smile crept onto her face, only to have it vanish completely as Zabuza let out an eerie laugh.

"You don't understand. You can't defeat me with just your indiscriminate imitation. I can assure you that." He let out another laugh. "But you're pretty good. I see that you've copied my water clone jutsu when you said, "I won't let anyone on my team die." By making your clone speak as if it was the real one, you diverted my attention to the clone..." Yosuga's hands clenched into fists. Why was Kakashi letting him speak so much? "However..." Another Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi. "I am not that easy to defeat!"

The Zabuza in front of Kakashi turned into water and the one behind him swung his sword at Kakashi. When Kakashi ducked, Zabuza swung his foot and kicked him into the lake. Soon, both ninjas were in the water. With Kakashi popping his head above the surface and Zabuza standing on the water behind him, Yosuga knew this would end badly.

"Get out of the water!" She yelled to Kakashi, but as the last word left her mouth, he was captured in a ball of water.

"You give me a lot of trouble when you're moving. So I'll finsih you off later. Right now, I'll finish them off." Zabuza turned towards the four genin. He laughed. "The four of you have forehead protectors on as if you think you're ninja. But ninja refers to someone who has gone through numerous life and death situations. In other words, you can call yourself a ninja when you appear in my bingo book. You four aren't ninja." Suddenly, the fog thickened and Zabuza disappeared. Naruto was knocked back with a kick, and his forehead protector came undone and fell off. Zabuza stepped on it. "You're just kids."

Yosuga held a kunai in front of her, her grip tightening slightly at every move made. "Everyone! Get Tazuna and run! You can't win against him! He can't move as long as he has me trapped in this hydro prison. He also won't be able to use his water clone once you get away from him! Run for now!" Kakashi yelled to them.

Yosuga's eyebrows furrowed as she frowned. They couldn't run even if they wanted to. Zabuza would get them sooner or later and without the aid of their sensei, they would surely die. No, running was never an option. Yosuga couldn't leave her sensei behind to die. She let out a breath, loosening her grip on the kunai for once as she calmed herself down. In a situation like this, she needed to keep her cool.

Sasuke was first to attack, throwing kunai and trying for an attack from above. His efforts were quickly proved useless as he was caught by the throat and thrown back. Naruto was next to run in, easily getting kicked back, though he had gotten his forehead protector. Yosuga decided she wouldn't be so stupid as to run in as they did. They needed a plan. For now, she hung back with Sakura, waiting for the right moment.

"Hey, put this in your bingo book. The man who will become the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village one day." Naruto spoke, putting his forehead protector back on. "This konoha-style ninja, Naruto Uzumaki! Sasuke, lend me your ear for a second." Naruto called.

Yosuga, trying to hold as little presence as possible, created a clone of herself to guard Tazuna with Sakura while she herself sat concealed in a nearby tree. She would wait and analyze the mist ninja before she attacked.

"Let's go wild now." Naruto grinned.
