Yosuga sniffed for probably the one hundredth time that day. She was almost starting to regret training that morning. If she went home sniffling like this around her father she was sure to be punished. Sighing, she walked away from the academy to get lunch. She had forgotten to pack her lunch this morning from her frustrating training.
After a bit of walking, she finally reached the nigiri shop she had been searching for. She came here often and the owner knew her well. She turned around and smiled when she saw Yosuga.
"Yosu-chan! I haven't seen you for a while, where've you been?" She leaned on the counter as Yosuga sat on one of the stools behind it and smiled. Her long dark brown hair was pulled into a high ponytail at the back of her head and her brown eyes had their usual sparkle to them. She was always smiling.
"Sorry Miss Emiko," Yosuga smiled. "I've been training." Emiko slowly shook her head, turning around to make some nigiri for Yosuga. She didn't even have to say anything, since Emiko already knew what she wanted.
"Jeez, child. Don't you think you work yourself a bit too hard? What does your father think of you training all the time?" Emiko asked. Yosuga rested her chin on her left hand and traced circles in her counter with her other.
"He doesn't know." Yosuga muttered. Emiko turned around to look at her.
"He doesn't know or he just doesn't care?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow. Yosuga shrugged. "Hm, it's not like there's much of a difference with that man." She sighed, going back to making Yosuga's food. Once she was finished, she turned and set the plate of nigiri in front of Yosuga who offered a small smile.
"Thanks, Miss Emiko." She started eating. Emiko smiled and nodded, going back to leaning on the counter in front of Yosuga.
"So, how's your training been going then?" She asked. Yosuga finished eating, and looked down.
"Unremarkable." She sighed. Emiko lifted an eyebrow.
"What do you mean? What's wrong?" Yosuga looked down at her hand and played with her fingers, watching the tendons moving under her tan skin.
"My chakra bullets... I can barely nick a tree with them. And I only know how to do the ninjutsu that's taught at the academy, and it takes me a whole minute to realize I'm in a genjutsu and..." Once Yosuga started, she just couldn't stop criticizing herself. Emiko looked at Yosuga sadly as she went on and on about how terrible she was. She knew that Yosuga was sub-consciously comparing herself to her older sister. Emiko sighed.
"Hey, you stop that." Emiko grabbed Yosuga's fist, which had started to shake. Yosuga looked up at her. "Now you listen here. You're only still in the academy, stop pushing yourself so hard. Who cares when your sister graduated? You are you. You work at your own pace, okay? You know all the ninjutsu taught at the academy, right? That's all you need to know to graduate! Minami only knows all those other jutsus because she graduated and learned more. You're going to do the same, you just have to be patient, okay? And it normally takes a kid your age about three minutes to realize they're in a genjutsu. And your taijutsu is just fine. If you want to be a great ninja, you need to stop degrading yourself. You are doing just fine, okay?"
The stern look on Emiko's face restricted Yosuga from saying anything else, so she simply nodded. Emiko smiled. "Great! Now get outta here, I got customers to serve and you have class the attend." She shooed Yosuga away who smiled at her and ran off. "Bye bye Yosu-chan!"
Yosuga made her way back to the academy and walked into class. Again, Iruka was not there, meaning he was probably off trying to catch Naruto. Yosuga sat in her seat, thinking about what Emiko had said, sniffling a bit more. She had done her best not to sneeze and suppressed the ones she couldn't hold back, earning her a small pain in her side. It was not very smart to try to hold in a sneeze, as she painfully realized. She rubbed her nose a bit and rested her chin in her hand, looking at the blank board in the front of class. The room was mostly filled with all of her classmates and was quite noisy. Yosuga closed her eyes, trying to block out the noise.
But that's kind of impossible with someone standing right next to your ear and calling your name. Yosuga recognized the voice immediately. It was Sakura. Yosuga knew her and had talked to her quite a bit before, but they weren't really friends. More like acquaintances. But Yosuga didn't feel like talking at the moment. She huffed a bit of air out of her nose.
"What do you want?" She asked, her eyes still closed.
"Uh, well... I was wondering if maybe I could have that seat?" Yosuga could tell Sakura was a bit nervous. Yosuga was intimidating to most of the girls -and even some boys- in the class, though she wasn't sure why.
"Why?" Yosuga hummed. She didn't really feel like moving.
"Well, you're sitting next to Sasuke, and I'd like to sit next to him." Sakura mumbled, twiddling her thumbs. The pinkette normally wouldn't act like this in front of anyone, but Yosuga just gave off a scary vibe and Sakura really didn't want to bother her. Yosuga lifted her eyelids and looked over at Sasuke then back to Sakura. She took a breath.
"So basically you want me to just get up and leave because you want to sit next to some boy." Yosuga spoke, and even though Sakura was compelled to argue that Sasuke was not just 'some boy', she laughed weakly.
"Y-yeah... basically..."
"Sakura?"
"Yes?"
"Go away, please."
"...Okay..." A dejected Sakura walked away leaving a bored Yosuga and a passive Sasuke who didn't really pay any attention to anything that just happened.
Yosuga looked back to the front of the class to see a blonde haired student tied up and sitting on the floor. You would have to be an idiot not to know his name. Whether from rumors spread around the village or seeing his pranks first hand, you had to know Naruto Uzumaki. Yosuga sighed. What had he gotten into this time?
"Listen, Naruto. You failed the last final exam and the one before that," Iruka scorned. "You shouldn't be fooling around like that." Naruto looked away and huffed, brushing off Iruka's lecture. This seemed to aggravate Iruka even more. He turned to the class. "We're going to have a review test on the transformation jutsu! Those who already passed will have to line up as well!" He shouted, earning a groan from mostly everyone in the class.
Everyone lined up. Sakura was first. "Haruno Sakura going! Transform!" Sakura did the jutsu and passed, but not before calling to Sasuke, who also did the jutsu and passed. Next in line was Yosuga who quickly transformed into Iruka and moved on.
Then there was Naruto.
Making a fool of himself as usual, he tranformed into a more mature girl version of himself. Without any clothes on. Yosuga rubbed her temples and huffed from the loud noise Iruka was making by yelling at Naruto.
Fortunately, it was the end of the day.
Unfortunately, it was the end of the day.

Yosuga sat at the table silently, fearfully waiting for her father to say something. Her nose was still red from her rubbing it and she could feel a sneeze coming soon. She knew she'd have to excuse herself or be punished when her father found out she was sick.
After speak with Minami, Yosuga's father finally cast his condescending glare upon her.
"And what did you to today, Yosuga?"
