Yosuga sat on the ledge of the bridge next to Sakura, watching the builders work. She blew some hair out of her face.
"It looks like you two got some time to kill there all by yourselves." Tazuna walked by the two kunoichi. "What happened to Blondie and that stuck up boy?"
"Naruto and Sasuke are in the middle of training." Yosuga answered.
"You two don't have to do that?"
"We finished our training, so Kakashi-Sensei told us to guard you." Sakura spoke.
"Really?" Tazuna sounded skeptical.
"Yes. He did." Yosuga narrowed her eyes at Tazuna while Sakura huffed, her eye twitching.
"You got a minute, Tazuna?" A worker walked up to Tazuna.
"What's up, Giichi?" Tazuna turned around to face the worker.
"Uh, actually... I gave it a lot of thought. Building the bridge... will you let me quit?"
"Why so suddenly? Not you too!"
"Tazuna, I've had a bond with you from the old days. I'd like to cooperate but if we push it too far, Gato will set his sights on us, too. Also... if you get killed, everything is lost! ...Why don't you just stop building the bridge?"
"...It's already afternoon. Let's call it a day." Tazuna started to walk away from the worker.
"Tazuna!"
"Giichi... you don't have to come in tomorrow."

Yosuga walked next to Tazuna and Sakura through the village. She looked around at the solemn villagers. Dirty children as well as adults sat on the edge of the road with no place to go, and the shops were either closed down or in possession of very little supplies. Yosuga wasn't exactly sure how she felt about this. She couldn't believe the fact that one man had caused so much sorrow and despair. It was a sad thing to see.
Yosuga was ripped from her thoughts when she felt a tug on the back of her jacket. Turning around, her eyebrows furrowed at the little kid behind her. The kid smiled at Yosuga and held out her hands.
"Do you have anything to eat?" The kid asked her. Yosuga blinked, staring at the kid before moving her hand to her ninja pouch.
"Only this." She took an apple out of her pouch and handed it to the kid, who looked at it in awe and smiled even wider.
"Thank you so much!" The kid ran off. Yosuga sighed watching her.
"This village is such a sad place isn't it?" Sakura smiled sadly in a quiet voice. Yosuga nodded in agreement.
"It really is."

Naruto stood trying to concentrate on what Yosuga had said to him. Right as he was about to start running again, Sasuke called to him.
"Hey, Naruto." Naruto fell on his face.
"Jeez, what the heck's wrong with you!? Don't interfere while I'm trying to concentrate!" Naruto yelled back at him.
"Uh... well..." Sasuke tried to force the words out of his mouth.
"What is it?" Naruto muttered, still annoyed.
"You asked Yosuga to give you some tips before... what did she say to you?" Sasuke finally asked. Naruto smiled smugly.
"I'm not telling."

"Ah, this is really fun!" Tazuna grinned. "It's been a long time since we've had a meal with this many people!"
