Chapter Nineteen

Tears streaming down on her cheeks as Dahyun walks away from the convenience store. Her heart feels so heavy. Everything that Taehyung is doing to her is hurting her. She had enough.

She doesn't know where she is exactly going. She continues to walk and walk. She just wanted to get away to this place, to Minhee... to Taehyung.

Just then, she was being pulled back and the next thing she felt was warm arms wrapped around her.

"Who..."

"Don't just walk away like that."

Her eyes widened.

It's Taehyung.

What is happening? Why is he here? Why did he followed her?

How about Minhee?

So many questions are clouding up her mind. It feels like she's gonna have a headache. All because of what is happening, all because of Taehyung.

"I made Minhee tell the truth," he said, still hugging Dahyun. "She has reasons why she said those things..."

Dahyu felt another pain on her chest. He just chose Minhee over me...

"But that's not an enough excuse for her to say those harsh words to you," he added.

Wait...

"I'm sorry for what she said. And for not believing you at first even though you didn't even try to defend yourself," Taehyung said.

Who is this guy? This is not the Taehyung she's been dealing with ever since she came to Seoul.

Dahyun suddenly hugs him back.

Taehyung was surprised. He's actually expecting that she will push her away now.

Dahyun doesn't want to let him go. Not now. Let her savour this moment that Taehyung is like this, just like her old Taehyung. Because she knows the moment she let him go, he will go back to his cold self again.

They both stayed on that position. Both not wanting to let go. Even Taehyung is surprised to himself. He's still hugging her.

"I've been wanting to hug you ever since I came here in Seoul. Because I really missed you, Taehyung. I always miss you," Dahyun said, tearing up again. "I don't know what happened to you, to us... Why you are so mad at me. It hurts not to have any idea of what is happening, it hurts to know that the person I've been longing to see doesn't feel the same way."

She felt Taehyung is moving and is beginning to lightly push her, so she tightened her hug to him. "Please, Taehyung, just let me hold on to you a bit longer," she pleaded, sobbing so hard. "Because I know the moment I let you go, it will be hard for me to get you back."

Taehyung stopped moving and let her hug him. He's contemplating whether to put her arms around her again. But he remembered the last letter she sent to him. The words written on it...

"Why do you want me back?" he asked. "After hurting me, why do you want me back?"

"I never —"

"Your letter. You sent me a letter last month," Taehyung revealed.

This time, Dahyun breaks free from him. With tear strained face, she asked, "What letter?"

"Stop this bullshit, Dahyun."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Dahyun replied. She moves closer to him but Taehyung backs away which hurts her.

"Stop lying!"

"I am not lying! You know damn well when I am lying and I know right at this moment that I am not!" Dahyun cried out.

"Then who sent that fucking letter? You're the only one who I am writing with. I wrote and sent you letter every single day! You were the one who stopped sending them. But I never did! Then what? After three fucking months, I'm gonna receive a bullshit letter from you telling me to stop bothering you and move on from our stupid childhood memory! Now, tell me who got hurt first?" Taehyung told him. This time it's him who's tearing up.
