Dahyun decides to wait for Jimin outside the principal's office. She sits on the bench.
She nervously opens the folder and peaks her score. "Oh god, I wish I passed," she mumbles.
Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth to suppress her gasp when she finally saw her score.
She perfect the exam!
Remembering what Jihyo told her awhile ago, about having free tuition fee, makes her feel relieved and happy.
She gets her phone in her bag, she's about to text Jihyo about the good news, but she remembers shutting it off for now.
Her brother has been constantly contacting her, and she's not ready to contact him and the rest of her family yet.
It's been 10 years.
10 years of being shut down, of being stop from doing what she wants do, from stopping her on her making decisions for herself, from always getting no as an answer.
Maybe, just maybe, it's about time that she do things on her own.
"I swear, after this, I'll go back and prove to them that I did it. That I did it on my own," she said.
The door opens, startling her.
She glanced on her side and saw Taehyung coming out.
They momentarily stare at each other, but he broke it instantly.
Dahyun is contemplating if she should start a conversation. Because the last time she did that, which was yesterday, Taehyung was unhappy. How she wished Jimin will arrive now.
"So, you're gonna study here, huh?" he surprisingly asked, and started a conversation.
Taehyung checks the time. Only 10 minutes left before lunch break, so why not waste it and stay here for a while.
It took Dahyun a few second to respond to him. She's surprised yet happy that he's finally talking to her. "Umm, yeah," she stuttered a bit.
"Well, goodluck."
His words are small, but that's enough for Dahyun to be happy.
Maybe they just need to start a new life, new memories, new friendship, right?
"Please avoid approaching me from time to time," he said all of a sudden. He's now sitting right in front of Dahyun, giving her cold stares.
Just when Dahyun thought that everything's going back to normal, here he is being cold again to her for a reason she doesn't know.
She can't help but feel down again.
"Okay," she forced herself to speak. "If that's what you want."
She wants to ask why, but it's clear that Taehyung doesn't want to have any long conversations with her.
On the other hand, Taehyung was surprised and slightly disappointed when she didn't ask why.
She really doesn't care anymore, huh, he thought. Well then, fine. If that's what she wants.
"Are you waiting for someone?" he asked.
He's pissed, but still he's here talking to her. How crazy.
Not looking at him anymore, Dahyun just nodded. Which makes Taehyung even more pissed.
"Who? Jimin?" he asked, sounding annoyed.
Dahyun noticed the annoyed tone of his voice which made her stared back at him.
